Why Godhra Riots Happened..?

Assembly Elections , which SHOCKED the Senior RSS Leadership , so within a month ,
you had Godhra Riots.

BJP, RSS, VHP & SANGH PARIVAR orchestrated Godhra Riots to show their FAKE
commitment to Hindu Nationalism and burnish their Image of Hindu Nationalists. They
wanted to protect their LAST turf in Gujarat, after BJP was wiped out across Six States
across Northern India during Assembly Elections.

Inner Circle of Nehru Gandhi family and was Sonia Gandhis own man inside the PMO.
Even after NDA demitted office , he worked within the PMO , when UPA Government

Brajesh Mishra's father, the Late [Link] ( or Dwarka Prasad Mishra ) was a staunch
and ambitious Congressman , whose Family had very close ties to Nehru Gandhi Family
, he was especially close to Indira Gandhi.
Dwarka Prasad Mishra was a former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. His father was
considered a staunch Congressman & career politician from the Congress Party , when
he was active from (1955 to 1988) , and very close to Indira Gandhi. He was twice the
Chief Minister of the Madhya Pradesh - From 31 September 1963 to 8 March 1967 and
9 March 1967 to 29 July 1967.
Once , it was discovered that Brajesh Mishra ( Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister
and NSA ) belonged to inner circle of Nehru Gandhi family , Senior RSS Leaders started
a SHAM Campaign to oust Brajesh Mishra ( & N.K Singh ) from the PMO ( to fool
Junior Hindutva Leaders within their Rank and File ). Of course , they were re-buffed by
Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who offered to resign instead of asking
Brajesh Mishra and N.K Singh to resign.

Both Brajesh Mishra and N.K Singh ( Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Prime
Minister Economic Affairs ) were appointed to the PMO by Senior RSS Leaders.

In order to make a fool out of Junior Sangh Parivar Leaders , RSS / SANGH PARIVAR
launched a campaign to OUST both both Brajesh Mishra and N.K Singh from the PMO.
They wanted to pretend that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was behind the appointment of these
TWO Bureaucrats with DUBIOUS backgrounds.

N.K Singh recently resigned from JD(U) to join BJP on March 22, 2014. He was officially
welcomed into the party by BJP president Rajnath Singh. Earlier he was nominated as
Rajya Sabha MP by JD(U) and was quite close to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

In 2010 , N K Singh ( then Rajya Sabha MP from JD- U ) , was heard in the Neera Radia
Tapes , trying to push parliamentary debate to give Retroactive Tax Rebates to Reliance
Industries by manipulating the order of speakers ( relegating the speakers critical of
the retroactive tax rebates to the Last ) and arranging meeting of Reliance
staffers/lobbyists with the new lead speakers. He later defended his conduct and said
that Reliance advocacy was for national "..Energy Security..". N.K Singh is a Corporate
Lobbyist ( Like Neera Radia and Ranjan Bhattacharya ) and is known to be close to
various Corporate Houses.

You will find this Surprising , that the real power in NDA Administration was NOT with
former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee , but was with his Principal
Secretary & NSA , the All Powerful Brajesh Mishra.. Next only to him , the most powerful
man within NDA Government was the OSD for Economic affairs N.K Singh , who was a
powerful lobbyist & Bureaucrat with strong political connections.

Another reason to orchestrate Godhra Riots, was to protect their

last turf in Gujarat considered a laboratory for Hindutva.

2002 Gujarat riots also known as Godhra Riots , has been referred to as State Pogrom
a state sponsored violence against Muslim community. Given the circumstantial nature
of Godhra Riots , I would like to insist that the incident on the morning of 27 February
2002 , when four coaches of Sabarmati Express caught fire killing 59 people ( All
Hindus ) , including 25 women and 25 children, were burned to death , was Stage
Managed.. in order to trigger Anti Muslim riots.

Many independent commentators also hold the view that the attack on the Sabarmati
express was a ..Staged Trigger.. for what was actually premeditated violence.

I completely contradict the statements given by many FAKE Saffron leaders belonging
to SANGH PARIVAR that 59 people ( All Hindus ) , who were burned to death , were all
KAR-SEWAKS returning from Ayodhya , after demolition of Babri Masjid.

This was Febraury 27th , 2002 , Babri Masjid was demolished on December 6th , 1992 , so
full 10 years had elapsed after the demolition of Babri Masjid. Are we people going to
believe that Kar-Sewaks and Ram Bhakts stayed behind for another 10 years in
Ayodhya , after demolition of Babri Masjid.

To all Indians , this was a false propaganda by Senior RSS / SANGH PARIVAR Leadership
to fool the Hindu community and inflame their passions , which would later trigger Anti

Triggering Riots by Inflammatory Statements and Dis-

information campaign
Independent reports indicate that the State BJP President had endorsed a call for Total
Gujarat Bandh given by [Link] then Chief Minister of Gujarat - Narendra Modi and
State BJP President Rana Rajendrasinh used inflammatory language , which worsened
the situation.
Both of them insinuated that the attack on the Sabarmati Express was carried out by
Pakistan's Intelligence Agency ISI and that local Muslims were involved , they had
conspired with them to attack Hindus in the state.
Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) called for a statewide BANDH and it was endorsed by
State BJP President Rana Rajendrasinh The then Chief Minister Narendra Modi declared
that the attack on the train had been an act of terrorism, and not an incident of
communal violence.

The BJP and its ally, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), paraded charred bodies from the
Train Coaches ( purportedly of Kar-Sewaks and Ram Bhakts ) , through the streets, and
Chief Minister Narendra Modi said on February 27, 2002: It ( the burning of coach S-6 )
was a preplanned act. The culprits will have to pay for it. It was not communal violence.
It was a violent, one-sided, collective act by only one community.

False stories were also printed by Local Newspapers , which claimed that Muslims had
kidnapped and raped , some Hindu women. The local newspapers Sandesh Gujarati and
Gujarat Samachar, had headlines which would PROVOKE, COMMUNALIZE and
TERRORIZE people...

These newspapers quoted a Senior VHP Leader with a headline,

After February 27th ( 2002 ) burning of Sabarmati Express , local Newspapers and Local
Media reported the news in such a manner that it would provoke and inflame the
passions within the Hindu Community. The local news media repeatedly quoted a VHP
Leader with a headline, ..Avenge with blood... Then you had Senior BJP Leaders, who
used inflammatory language, in an already tense situation.
On 28 February , Junior Hindutva Leaders / Activists wearing saffron robes came out in
large numbers carrying Swords, Lathis , Axes , Explosives and Gas Cylinders in trucks
and attacked Muslims in Muslim dominated localities. According to media reports, not
only Muslim men but also their women and children were also attacked.
In those areas, which were not dominated by Muslims , they had printouts of voter
registration lists, allowing them to selectively target Muslim properties.
Of course, the state and police were complicit in the violence, since the attacks were
made in full view of police stations and police officers who did not intervene. In many
instances, police joined the mobs in perpetrating violence.
Commentators have called Godhra Riots as STATE TERRORISM, and that they were not
riots, but ..Organized Political Massacre... There was instruction to police officers
from Senior Ministers in State Government that they should not intervene in case of
Communal violence.
Many commentators in the new media have argued that the attacks were well
coordinated, pre-planned and executed.
Since attackers used voter lists and other documents obtainable only with government
assistance, this was obvious evidence of State Government complicity.

Statistics Number of Muslims and Hindus Dead

According to official figures, the riots resulted in the deaths of 790 Muslims and 254
Hindus.

Media Coverage of Godhra Riots

Foreign Funded Indian Media was deeply critical of the Hindutva Leaders / Hindu
Nationalists /Hindutva Activists , for attacking Muslims in Gujarat. They ensured that
Godhra Riots was telecasted World Wide with 247 News Coverage.

Godhra Riots was the first instance of communal violence in India in the age of 24-hour
news coverage and was televised worldwide. This was to portray Hindu Nationalists
and Hindu Nationalism in Poor Light.

What I want to emphasize here is that there was No News CENSORSHIP of Godhra
Riots, as it was in the case of Kargil War. This was done on purpose by Senior BJP
Leaders.

State BJP Leaders , in order to pretend to be defenders of Hindu Community and

to Godhra Riots as an assault on the honour of Gujaratis and turned the hostility into an
emotive part of their electoral campaign.

incumbent Congress Government of Sonia Gandhi to prosecute them .

public consciousness for a long time. This ensured that in the near future , all Hindutva

Criminal prosecutions of Hindutva Leaders

Once Sonia Gandhi led UPA Government came to power in 2004, she set up Special Fast
Track Courts to try Hindutva Leaders ( along with Hindu Mobs ) involved in Godhra
Riots. More then 200 VHP Leaders were sentenced to Life Imprisonment. As this was all
a part of pre-written script ; Senior BJP / RSS Leaders just WINKED and NODDED in
agreement, and looked the other way.

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee led NDA Government ensured Godhra Riots got
Worldwide Telecast ( 247 ) and then he invited Fact Finding Missions from Abroad to
independently investigate Godhra Riots. This was like, stabbing all the Hindutva

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi led BJP Government in Gujarat Fully cooperated
with Sonia Gandhi led UPA government in the centre. An estimated 14,000 Hindutva
Leaders were rounded up, and lodged in Jails by BJP Government in Gujarat, so that
they can be brought before Special Fast Track Courts set up UPA government.

31 Hindus found guilty in 2002 Gujarat riot case
AHMEDABAD/NEW DELHI:
Last November, a Special Fast-Track Court in Gujarat had sentenced 31 Hindus to life
imprisonment in the Sardarpura massacre, where 33 Muslims were burnt to death by a
mob of 1,500 in 2002 during the communal violence that was unleashed across Gujarat.
The Sardarpura massacre also happened on March 1, 2002. They were found guilty of
murder, attempt to murder, rioting, arson and criminal conspiracy. Of these, 31 were
found guilty, convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment up to 31 years in prison.
Principal district and sessions judge S.C Srivastava, while pronouncing the verdict
directed the 31 convicts to deposit 50,000 each, which will be paid as compensation to
the family of the victims.

18 Hindus get life term for Ode village massacre
Ahmedabad: A special court in Gujarat's Anand district has sentenced 18 Hindus in the
2002 Ode village massacre case in which 23 people died, to life imprisonment; the
remaining five have been sentenced to seven years in prison.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5,800 each on the accused sentenced to life
imprisonment and Rs 3,800 each on the other five convicts. The pronouncement of the
verdict caused uproar among the family members and relatives of the convicts who
were standing inside the court campus and many of them broke down.
More than 100 people, including women and children, who were gathered at the
campus, resorted to sloganeering. However, police removed them out of the campus.
On Monday, almost a decade after a mob killed 23 Muslims, including nine children, in
the Ode village of Gujarat's Anand district, 23 people were convicted out of the 47
people accused in the case. 23 were acquitted; one accused had died during trial. On
March 1, 2002, as communal riots spread across Gujarat after the Godhra train-burning
incident, a mob attacked about 20 Muslim homes in Ode.

32 Hindus sentenced to Life Imprisonment by a special court
Ahmedabad: Former Gujarat minister Maya Kodnani of the BJP and a Bajrang Dal
leader, Babu Bajrangi, are among 32 people who have been convicted by a Special Fast
Track Court almost a decade after 95 people were killed in Ahmedabad's Naroda Patiya
in one of the worst incidents of mob violence in the 2002 Gujarat riots.
Kodnani and Bajrangi been held guilty of murder under section 302, and of criminal
conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
This is the first time that a former minister has been convicted in a Gujarat riots case.
The SIT registered cases against many of the accused, including the then Minister of
Women and Child Development Mayaben Kodnani. Ms Kodnani, who was the MLA from
the area, was also the first minister to be arrested in a riot case. Witnesses in Naroda
Patiya have made statements alleging that Ms Kodnani had incited mobs.

23 Hindus convicted in 2002 Ode Massacre

A Special Fast Track Court here on Monday convicted 23 Hindus of murder, conspiracy
and abetment to murder in the 2002 Ode communal riot massacre in Gujarat. District
and Sessions Court Judge Poonam Singh said the sentences would be announced on
April 12.

The Ode riot in which 24 people were burnt alive in two incidents by a mob on
March 1 and 2, 2002 was one of the nine cases investigated by the Supreme Court-
appointed Special Investigation Team.
According to the prosecution, a 1,500-strong mob gathered in Ode village on March 1,
2002, and started throwing stones and damaging the property of the people in the
Muslim dominated Suriewali Bhagol.

Avdhootnagar case - Vadodara Special Fast-Track Court

sentenced 108 Hindus to Life Imprisonment
In 2005, the Vadodara Fast-Track Court sentenced 108 Hindus to life Imprisonment, as
they were accused of murdering two Muslim youths, during a mob attack on a group of
displaced Muslims returning under police escort to their homes in Avdhootnagar. The
court passed strictures against the police for failing to protect the people under their
escort

Eral case - Eight Hindus, including a VHP leader and a member of the BJP, were
convicted
Eight Hindus , including a VHP leader and a member of the BJP, were convicted for the
murder of seven members of a Muslim family and the rape of two minor girls in the
village of Eral in Panchmahal district.
Dipda Darwaza case - 31 Hindus to life imprisonment
9 November 2011
On 9 November 2011, a court in sentenced 31 Hindus to life imprisonment for
murdering dozens of Muslims, by burning a building in which they took shelter. And 22
additional people ( Hindus ) were convicted for attempted murder on 30 July 2012,

Understand
Senior BJP / RSS Leaders are opportunistic; they will switch sides at the first

Welcoming the verdict, Law Minister Salman Khurshid today said the judgement
enhances faith of the people in the legal system. "Every time this kind of inhuman act is

of law prevails in the country," Mr Khurshid told reporters in New Delhi.

The court was told that 22 witnesses, who had submitted identical affidavits before

Gujarat CM Narendra Modi of the charge that he failed to discharge his constitutional
duty to intervene swiftly and stop the communal riots that engulfed the state in 2002.

The Gujarat government will seek death penalty for Maya
Kodnani, a former minister in Narendra Modi government,
Bajrang Dal leader Babu Bajrangi and eight others when it files
an appeal in the High Court against the Special Court's
judgement in 2002 Naroda Patiya riot case.

..The legal department has formed a panel of three advocates

who have been asked to prepare an appeal to be filed in the
High Court and seek death sentence for 10 convicts in the case,
including Kodnani and Bajrangi, who were awarded life
 sentence by the trial court,.. Assistant Public Prosecutor
Gaurang Vyas said.

Apart from seeking death sentence for 10 convicts, the appeal,

likely to be filed next week, will press for enhancement of 24-
year jail term to 30 years for 22 convicts given life sentence by
the trial court, Vyas said.

In August last year, trial court Judge Jyostna Yagnik sentenced

Kodnani to 28 years jail, while Bajrangi was ordered to spend
the rest of his life in prison. Eight others were awarded 31-
year imprisonment, while 22 convicts got 24 years prison
term.
The prosecution will also challenge designated court's order to
acquit 29 accused.

file an appeal in the Naroda Patia massacre case to demand capital punishment for
Maya Kodnani , Babu Bajrangi and nine others.
Gujarat Government gave an order to form a panel to file an appeal with Gujarat High
Court in the 2002 Naroda Patia massacre case and seek capital punishment for 10
convicts, including Kodnani and Bajrang Dal leader Babu Bajrangi , who had been

VHP ( & Other Hindutva organizations ) relations with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra
Modi got strained after Gujarat Government rounded up Tens of Thousands of
Hindutva Leaders across Gujarat and lodged them into Jails , so that they can be
brought before Special Fast Track Courts set by UPA government. Soon after that, VHP
workers organized demonstrations, denouncing the arrest, and accusing the Gujarat
Chief Minister Narendra Modi and his BJP Government of HARASSING and
VICTIMIZING the VHP cadres in Gujarat.
RSS joined VHP in not backing Chief Minister Narendra Modi in upcoming Assembly
Elections.

This is incredulous that RSS has joined VHP in NOT backing their own man Chief
Minister Narendra Modi.
We need to realize over here that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi ordered the
arrest of Tens of Thousands of Hindutva Leaders across Gujarat only after he got a
GREEN SIGNAL from Senior RSS Leaders.
All Senior BJP Leaders obey the RSS , they dont act independently , anyway.

Aftermath Godhra Riots

After Godhra Riots, having consolidated its position , BJP gave tickets to several
Muslims to contest Assembly Elections.
More than 100 Hindu Temples have been demolished by Narendra Modi led BJP
government in Gujarat. Excuse given was they were illegal. Another Six temples were
quietly demolished around Diwali.
Many prominent Hindu Saints and Religious figures were arrested in Bhavnagar
district, simply for holding tridents in a Ram Navami procession. Thousands of
Hindutva Leaders were rounded up by Narendra Modi led BJP government to be
brought in front of Special Fast Track Courts set up by UPA governments.
All VHP men, who got BJP tickets to contest 2002 Assembly Elections, were later
dropped during Assembly Elections 2007. This was after BJP had consolidated its
position in Gujarat.
Demolition of Hindu Temples in Gujarat did not go down well with VHP and other
Hindu Organizations who accused him of demolishing not Temples but Hindutva. They
also pointed out that there were several Mazaars ( Muslim Tombs for Sufi Saints )
around Official Residences of VIPs that wasnt touched. BJP, on its part, has remained
remarkably silent over the issue. On demolition of 100 Hindu temples , BJP State
President Purshottam Rupala stated that ,
..If a structure is illegal, it should be removed

Many VHP Leaders across Gujarat were angry that many VHP Leaders and Cadres , who
worked hard to see Narendra Modi as Chief Minister, were double crossed by him. As a
result many VHP Leaders circulated Anti Modi SMS-es ,and they were later charged
with sedition.

Hindus in Gujarat face Penury
You wont read about this in Mainstream Indian Newspapers.
More than 10,000 Hindu families have been displaced by Godhra Riots. They got no
compensation.
More than 250 Hindus ( including Hindutva Leaders ) were SHOT DEAD by RAF
Battalions , swiftly flown in by Modi Government to contain Godhra Riots. They also got
no compensation.
All their families are facing penury.
More than 200 VHP Leaders were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment by a
Special Fast Track Court ( set up by Congress President Sonia Gandhi ) due to their
involvement in Godhra Riots. This doesnt include hundreds of Hindutva Leaders
belonging to various factions of SANGH PARIVAR and male members of Hindu
Community, who have been given life sentences by Special Fast Track Court, due to their
involvement in Godhra Riots. They all had been ..SET UP.. by Senior BJP / RSS Leaders.
Hindu families and Hindutva Leaders got no help or protection from Narendra Modi led
Gujarat Government or from Senior BJP / RSS Leaders.
With their male members either dead or in Jail , their families have been reduced to
penury. Their women are begging for money. As a result , Hindutva Leaders and VHP
leaders in Gujarat have distanced themselves from BJP.
We were used by Modi Saab, used! said an angry office bearer of the VHP, speaking on
condition of anonymity. Now that he has cemented his position, he wants to be seen as
pro-development. He has abandoned those who died for him in Godhra. Who will
support their families?
It is like we have been wiped out from Modis memory, said an angry woman who lost
her father and brother at Godhra.
Shanta Ben , speaking on condition of anonymity from her two-room home in the
district of Anand, she said she worked as a seamstress for Rs 1,800 a month. Has he
forgotten the votes , he got from our pain?...

Muslims got a Fat Compensation for Godhra Riots

Muslims in Gujarat were given more than Rs 10,00,000 ( Rs 10 Lakhs ) as compensation
by UPA government under Congress President Sonia Gandhi. They got another Rs
7,00,000 from Gujarat Government Under Chief Minister Narendra Modi. This allowed
them to purchase houses in posh colonies of Gujarat.
As far as members of Hindu Community were concerned they got NOTHING NADA .

Conclusion
It should be obvious to everyone that Hindutva Leaders and VHP Leaders ( including
members of Hindu Community) in Gujarat were used and Discarded like TISSUE PAPER

With their men in Jail or Dead , their families are facing penury and their kids face a
bleak future. Their women are begging for money.

Imprisonment
The riots were reprehensible. The court has given a verdict. We don't support any
violence. Whoever is responsible should be punished. But this is the first court's
decision, and there is a legal procedure in place

If this wasnt enough , Chief Minister Narendra Modi led BJP Government in Gujarat
sought DEATH PENALTY for Minister of Women and Child Development Maya
Kodnani and Bajrang Dal Leader and nine others after they had been sentenced to Life
Imprisonment by Gujarat High Court. In case of Babu Bajrangi Bajrang Dal Leader , he
was sentenced to jail for the rest of his life. On 15 September 2011, Gujarat government
approached the high court to enhance the punishment of 27 Ode case riot convicts from
life imprisonment to death penalty.
Narendra Modi led Gujarat Government also gave the sanction to public prosecutors to
file an appeal to press for enhancement of 24-year jail terms to 30 years for 22 convicts;
this was apart from seeking death sentence for the 10 ( Hindu ) convicts.

Hindutva Leaders and VHP Leaders had all been DOUBLE CROSSED and BACK
STABBED by Senior BJP / RSS Leaders in the aftermath of Godhra Riots.

Ulterior aim of Godhra Riots was to burnish the image of BJP as a Hardcore Hindutva
