FUNCTIONS AND MEANINGS


1. Look at the prefiks and suffixes :

happiness scientific linearly needed


statement active beautifully smoking
presence economical backward organize
direction invertible eastward clarify
friendship hopeless
Javanese homogenous
artist hopeful
Mathematics
neighborhood

enlarge
enrich
dislike
discourage
misunderstand
misuse
2. Look at the Adjacent Word

Preposition (on, to, in, for), a, the, some, many + Noun

Frequency of Time (always, never, etc), + Verb

Modal (will, can, may, etc) + Verb

Very, rather, so, quite + Adj / Adverb

We can divide 12 by 3.

The shape of a can usually is a cylinder.

A polygon is a two-closed figure made up of straight line

segments connected from end to end.

The seminar will end at 4 pm.


3. Look at the position/function of the word
in the sentence:

Western societies highly value individualism.

Find the value of 64 divided by 8!

All living things need water.

The gardener waters the flower everyday.
