LOCAL RELATED LITERATURE

According to S. Angeles (2016), Shop Keep is the best pick of POS for retailers

because it is a cloud based service applications. Services or resources made available

to users on demand via internet from a cloud computing providers servers. This POS

system for retailers comes with a ton of useful features. Offers plenty of tools to help

the retailers to save time and boost sales, spend time growing the business and less

time worrying back-end processes. Therefore, this system help the retailers to easily

manage inventories, gather information, boost sales, manage employees and reports

can be generated straight from the point of sale system.

FOREIGN RELATED LITERATURE

According to A. Bianca (2012), Sales and Inventory Monitoring System can help

the company to make strategic business decision. This system collects companys

data to control the stocks and determines the level of production according to the

demand. This system gives the company a competitive advantage by linking different

automated processes and can exploit these linkages. Therefore, Sales and inventory

monitoring system will help the management to make a rapid decision regarding with

the stocks, production scheduling, material purchases, pricing, logistics and other

decisions to increase revenues and meet the customers demand.


LOCAL RELATED STUDY

According to R. Maliwat and M. Beronio (2013), the existing Sales and Inventory

System for Standard Hollow Blocks consumes a lot of time and effort in making

transaction and retrieving records since it is done manually. A proposed Computerized

Inventory System is more efficient, accurate, convenient, secure and reliable than the

manual system. The information or records about the product and sales can be easily

monitored and accessed. It can maximize not only the users productivity but also the

companys business capabilities. Therefore, Computerized Inventory System can

improve the transaction process of a company and it can resolve errors that are

occurring on the existing system.

FOREIGN RELATED STUDY

According to O. Abisoye, F. Boboye and B. Abisoye (2013) inventory is often

the largest priced asset of a business. Keeping the inventory also means keeping a

tab on the realizable value, market value of all the stocks, production and finished

stock. Manual system of inventory management system will leads to human errors

during counting and recording and in case of disaster like fire or flood or poor

communication, the inventory records will be damaged and irretrievable. Therefore,

this research has designed a Computerized Inventory Management System to

ascertain stock level, when to order for more products, updates of transactions and

goods were supplied to implement the possible solutions.
