I. Preparation course for APTIS- Listening Exam
Purpose: to assess your listening ability
There are 25 separate questions.
Each listening input has a single question.
All 25 questions use a four-option multiple-choice format.
Task Type Description
1. Candidate listens to a short input in the form of a
Word and number phone message and needs to identify specific
recognition information.
Information could be a word, a number, etc.
2. Candidate listens to a short conversation with two
Literal meaning speakers or a monologue.
The objective is to identify specific information such
as plans or intentions, what to buy in a shop, etc.
3. Candidate listens to a short conversation with two
Inference meaning speakers or a monologue.
The objective is to identify clues in the language or
tone to identify the attitude of the speaker, their
intention or mood.
