Thank you for your interest in the Ph.D. Programme (Full Time/Part Time/Full Time Sponsored) in the Department of Civil
Engineering (Application No._________________). You have been shortlisted to appear for an interview scheduled to be held in
the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Delhi on 23rd May 2017. You are required to report to the Departmental Office, which
is located in Block IV, Room No.222 at 8:30 A.M. Kindly note that shortlisting does not imply a selection.
You have been shortlisted based on the information given in the form which will be verified on arrival. Where results are
awaited, your selection in the interview will be subject to your meeting the prescribed criteria. Please ensure that you meet the
same. In case of any doubt, please contact the Civil Engineering Department office immediately.
Documents to be presented at the time of interview:
a. This letter
b. Original degree and mark certificates of all qualifying examinations
c. Score Card of GATE/CEED/Other National Level Examination (if applicable)
d. OBC (Non-creamy Layer) / SC / ST / PH certificate (if applicable). (Please see [Link] for details about OBC

e. Sponsorship/ No-objection Certificate (for Part-Time/ Full Time - Sponsored Candidates) (exactly in the wordings as given in
the information brochure on the PG admission website)
f. Additionally, other required documents as applicable.
g. If you have applied for a Part-Time/Full-Time Sponsored Ph.D. program, you must provide proof of experience gained after
completion of qualifying degree as stated by you in your application form and bring a No-Objection Certificate from your
current employer. Bring the Sponsorship Certificate from your current employer if you are a sponsored candidate. The
formats of these certificates are described in the information brochure (available at institute website). Candidates under Part
Time/Full Time Sponsored category will not be interviewed if they are unable to produce valid No-Objection
Certificate/Sponsorship Certificate, issued by their employer.
Preparation: Please come prepared for a personal interview. Revise your fundamentals in the courses that you have taken which
are most relevant to the research area provided by you in your application.
Accommodation: Hostel accommodation for male students, coming for interviews, is available in Shivalik Hostel. For female
candidates, hostel accommodation is available in Kailash Hostel. If you wish to avail this facility, please contact the caretaker at
reception of the appropriate hostel upon arrival. The telephone numbers of the hostels are: Shivalik: 011 2659-6946 and Kailash:
011 2659-6839. You may stay as a guest in these hostels at a nominal charge of Rs.230/- per day, which includes boarding and
lodging (you will need to bring your own bedding). The payment shall be made by way of Demand Draft drawn in favor of
Deans Discretionary Fund (Hostel name) Hostel. You will have to give the undertaking at the time of hostel
allotment that you will not use any motor driven vehicle in the campus.
Please provide your bank account number along with IFSC code for credit of TA claim in your account (if applicable). You will
have to deposit original journey tickets (Bus, Train etc) for TA claim as per your eligibility.
