Reflections
Unfortunately I started the hardest period of pregnancy with
the beginning of training faced a great diffi culty in teaching
because I was not on my nature and I feel very tired due to the
many vomiting and the feeling of inability to speak or teaching
I have assisted a lot my MST every day in the daily activities
that she did to her lesson i also used to correct the students'
books and the make a small notebook for each student
consists of 6 pages of the dictation whenever she did the
dictation i have to make this notebook and also on all events of
the school i used to help her by design or decorate the class
giving ideas.
Verb and noun:
This lesson was very smoothly. It was my first lesson with this class. I spend
lots of time on carpet time. I must spend less than 10 minutes. All of the
students were understand the meaning of verb and noun. Some of students
were confuse some picture they did not understand it. It was small. So next
time I have to do the picture much bigger. Also my MST said that I have to
raise my voice and be stricter with the students. This is because some of
them feel that I am as a friend so they did not respect the rules. The activity
also was very nice my MST like it. Actually she decides to do this kind of
activity which is work more with the paper and writing. I did not like this
activity so next time i would like to make it much fun and enjoyable for the
students.
Long e and short e:
In this lesson I learn new teaching skills that I never think about it. Which was
in the carpet time, because some students were excited and they want to
answer they start to move their body up and try to stand up on their knees. I
did not do anything with this I taught it is normal and I must let students do
what they want. My teacher Pauline she teach me that was wrong and once
students move their body and try to stand I lose two things my control over
them and their attention they did not listen to me also it effect other students
destructed.
There is also little problem which is number of the students in the class which
is 26 students. It is quite a lot for me to control over 26 and did the activity
with them alone. My teacher Pauline talked to me that next time when I will
teach I must use assistance and MST to help me in the class during the
activities each one of them take a group and look after them.
Measurement
This lesson I was not happy with it due to I made some mistakes I will talk
about it later. At the beginning of the activities many students came to me
and asking me question about the activity, some of them came to make sure
they do it correctly or not. This is happen due to my mistake which is I did not
give clear instructions on how to do the activities. I explained my lesson show
them example and I talk quickly I felt that I want to finish the lesson quickly
because I was not feeling good. The second mistake is that I did not bring
enough resources. It was group activity so they fighting the whole time and
there were not enough scissors each student want to finish faster than other
while others waiting their time. I was depending on sharing materials but
they did not share.
Four seasons
This lesson was enjoyable for the students it was like a game for them
creating a tree for each season and anything represent to each season. I also
achieved my learning outcomes. All the students were [Link] my MST
said that I was very scary because morning sicknesses I really feel difficulties
and feel sad because am not as I am before. But I know it was a mistake.
What do you see in the sky?
This lesson was very nice and I really feel that I achieve my learning
outcomes. The students understand the know the meaning of the new words
vocab. My MST advises me to use strategy of young teacher. This strategy let
students to play the role of the teacher by tacking the picture of the new
vocab and explain it to the other class. I also ask my MST to control over the
class, and the assistance to help me during the activity time. I also learn
other strategy that also my MST tells me about it. which was let the groups
sharing the concept of the lesson for example let student from one group to
do the activity then go to the next group and show them what he have done
and asking question about it. at the beginning I did not like it because I think
the class will be noisy and why I have to do this all of the class will do the
same activity. Then I understand that it helps students to feel confidence and
proud of what they did also to explained for other class.
Timing
This is the difficult lesson for me. It was hard for me to teach the students
how to count the minutes on the clock I feel like I need more time to explain
for them. It was little pit confuse even for high level students. My MST wants
me also to let them use their book. After I explained my lesson and feel that
they understood I ask the students to create a clock so they can recognize
both hour hand end function of each one. I ask them to open their book.
When I correct their book I found that most of them were making mistakes so
they need extra activity and explanation.
