A Proposal for a FMP (Documentary)

PROPOSAL
Log line: Tune in to our frequency on this radio we call a Universe, and become existentially
in wonder on our familiarity with aliens.
Content Outline: I am aiming for my documentary to be around 10 minutes long, or possibly
less. My documentary is going to be a chat with 2/3 people. I am going to
be doing a voiceover throughout the documentary explaining the basic
science behind human beings. We are all frequencies - it's crazy.
Depending on how fast our atoms are travelling and bouncing off each
other (energy) depends on whether we become a solid, liquid, or a gas.
We are technically music that has decided to take on a physical form. In
my documentary, I am going to be chatting with Tom Perry, Tom Mason,
and Tyler Haynes. They are going to be discussing the science behind
higher frequencies and the theory of whether or not aliens have visited
our planet. Tom Perry has a theory that aliens are so technically advanced
that they are able to distort their frequencies so that they are able to not
be in a physical form. On a side note - what is schizophrenia? Scientists
are unable to explain any mental disorders - everything we think about
and all of the mental disorders within humans brains are simply just a
certain type of energy wave, a specific frequency, so schizophrenia is a
frequency. And what if aliens were able to become that exact frequency of
schizophrenia and communicate with a human being without being in a
physical form? Who's to say we havent been visited by aliens - on a daily
basis - inside our own heads.
My documentary is going to be relaxed, I am going to use 3 cameras and break the fourth
wall in my documentary, and if I can I am going to get CCTV footage of the conversation to
make it seem more atmospheric.
Documentary Mode: The Observational Mode. This is where I attempt to observe aspects of
the historical world as they happen. Typically, it has no voice-over commentary, no
supplementary music or sound, no intertitles, no historical re-enactments, no behaviour
repeated for the camera and no interviews. The actors behave as if there are no cameras
there. Another mode that my documentary is going to be is:
The reflexive mode. This is where the spectator is the focus of the attention. Speaks not only
about the historical world, but about the problems and issues of representing it.
Documentaries set out to re-adjust the assumptions and expectation of its audience, not add
new knowing to existing categories. From a formal perspective reflexivity draws our
attention to our assumptions and expectations about documentary form itself.
My documentary is going to include both modes as it is quite an experimental documentary, I
am including music, yet I dont want my actors to acknowledge the camera however I am
going to show that they are being filmed, and they know that they being filmed. It is an
experimental conversation that is being filmed in the style of a documentary especially when
it comes to the conspiracy theory.
USP: The unique selling point in this documentary is that it is a conspiracy
theory that hasn't yet been looked into. Many people always wonder
whether aliens have visited the earth, but have they thought about the
fact that they could possibly not be in a physical form? no is the answer -
and this is why I am making a documentary on this.

Feasibility: I am not going to need to spend any money on the pre-
production or the production process of my FMP. With this documentary I
am just going to be filming at locations such as the individuals houses, in
school, or an educational looking area. I do not need any props that aren't
available for me at college to use.

Research results: From researching about frequencies I now have a basic
understanding. I have looked up the law of attraction a lot before so I have
already had a basic understanding of this. I have the information I need
now to be able to do a voice over for my documentary - and without
researching I wouldn't of been able to know that my unique selling point is
the fact that this hasn't really been looked into before. From talking to Tom
Mason, Tom Perry, and Tyler Haynes, and having a focus group, I knew
that they would be perfect for my documentary and from having this
conversation I have got my subheadings that I want to talk about and the
main things that I want to cover in my documentary. Without of
conducting this research I wouldn't have any reliable content, or any
actors able to be in my documentary.
