Blog: The word blog has been derived from the combination of two words, i.e., web and log. It is a
periodically updated website which compiles articles or text from several or one author in
chronological order. In other words, it is a website that is similar an online journal that consists of
individual created chronological entries. Blogs specifically focus on subjects like news,
entertainment, economic, etc. and provide users with comment area or forums, so as to make users
talk about these subjects or postings. Blogs are used as a personal diary or journal.
Social Networks These are web services that allow individuals to create a public or semi-public
profile within the online platform, while also allowing for the definition of a list of users which share
some form of contact
Wiki This is a type of website where users create, edit, delete or change content; this is an interactive,
easy and quick way to make a webpage.
A type of blog that lets users publish short text updates. Bloggers can usually use a number of service for the
updates including instant messaging, e-mail, or Twitter. The posts are calledmicroposts, while the act of using
these services to update your blog is called microblogging.
