Technology-Integrated Exam Impact Analysis

The document analyzes exam scores from 30 senior high students who took traditional paper exams and technology-integrated exams. It provides tables showing individual student scores on each exam type and increases in scores. The analysis finds that students' average score increased by 2.4 points on the technology-integrated exam compared to the traditional exam. Additional analysis is conducted to determine if this increase in scores is statistically significant, concluding that the technology-integrated exam format improved student performance.

CHAPTER IV

Sample

There are thirty senior high students who have participated in this research. There are 18

girls and 12 boys, particularly. All of the students undergone a two type of exam. One is traditional

way exam: paper and pen, while the second one there is a technology-integrated with the exam.

And these are the results that would help our research questions be answered.

Research question one (RQ1):

To test the effectiveness of technology-integrated in students learning, 30 students were

given two tests, one on traditional way exam and the other is technology-integrated exam. The

following difference in the number of effectiveness of technology-integrated exam was observed:

Table 4. Increase in scores of students on technology-integrated exam from the traditional exam

Do the data indicate the modification in technology-integrated exam increases the performance of

the 30 senior high students?

Solution:

Null hypothesis one:

1=2
H0 : i.e. the modification in technology-integrated exam does not increase the

performance of students.

Alternative hypothesis one:

1=2
H1 : (left-tailed test)

Research Question two (RQ2):

A group of 12 male senior high students took a technology-integrated examination and

scored 7, 8, 7, 6, 9, 8, 7, 10, 8, 8, 7, and 11 points. Second group is composed of 18 female senior

high students who also took a technology-integrated examination with the same questions with male

students, and scored 11, 10, 9, 11, 11, 11, 7, 9, 8, 11, 8, 10, 10, 11, 9, 11, 10, and 11 points. Do you

agree with the claim that the female senior high students who took technology-integrated exam

increase their performance significantly?

Solution:

Let the male and female senior high students who took the technology-integrated

examination be denoted by variables X and Y respectively.

Null Hypothesis:

1=2
H0 :

i.e. There is no significant difference between the male and female senior high students as regards

to their performance on technology-integrated exam.

Alternative Hypothesis:

integrated exam significantly.

Summary

In this chapter, we computed the data that the researchers have gathered from the tests that

they did in the research methodology. The results will serve as evidences to the inferences that the

researchers have come up with. The researchers did a computation based on the formula that is

applicable to the information that have gathered by the use of examinations that will measure the

performance of the 30 sample senior high students.

In the next chapter, research questions will be answered. The researchers will discuss their

conclusions and recommendations based on the results they have come up with from their

computation and analysis of the problem.
