Classroom Climate Observation Insights

The classroom climate was purposeful and task-oriented, with letters and numbers decorating the walls. It was also relaxed and supportive - the teacher adjusted the temperature for comfort and allowed orderly lines. The teacher respected the students and served as a good role model, using humor. While the classroom included different learning centers, the placement of the reading center next to the noisy role-play area was not ideal and could be improved.

1. Is the classroom climate purposeful and task orientated? Give an example.

Yes, you can see letters and numbers decorating the classroom.

2. Is the classroom climate relaxed, warm and supportive? Give an example.

Yes, if the student feel cold the teacher turns off the AC and if they feel hot she

will turn it on.

3. Does the classroom climate have a sense of order? Give an example

Yes, for example when they want to go to wash their hands their must be a boys

line and a girls line.

4. What sort of relationship did the teacher have with the students? For
example, was there mutual respect and rapport, did the teacher act as a good
example, did she use humor?
The teacher is very kind to her student and she defiantly respect the students and
she is a good role model to them and she do use humor with her students.

5. Describe the classroom appearance in terms of the layout. What did you like
not like about it and why? What would you change or not change and why?
I like that there is all the centers that I have study about are un the classroom but
what I didnt like is the place of the reading center because it is placed beside the role play
center. I would change it because the reading center should be in a quiet zone rather than
that everything is perfect.
