Enhancing Learning Targets in Classrooms

John Doe reflected on his professional learning journey from 2016-2017 focused on improving his use of learning targets in the 4th grade classroom. [1] He had an instructional coach observe and found that initially he referred to the learning target 12 times in a lesson while students only referred to it 2 times. [2] Doe then made an effort to have students repeat and refer to the learning target more throughout lessons.
