Early Language Teaching & Multiple Intelligences

The document discusses designing activities for teaching English to young children that develop multiple intelligences. It recommends activities that incorporate different learning styles without children realizing they are learning. An example activity is proposed where an English teacher creates a lesson related to art or music that develops at least two types of intelligences, such as visual/spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, or musical. The teacher would explain the activity and which intelligences it targets to engage different learning styles.

MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES

EARLY TEACHING OF A

SECOND LENGUAGE

When working with very young children, as we do at other levels, we must prepare
activities in which they can develop their different kinds of intelligence and learning
styles. Very young children do not realize they are learning in a particular way and
they are working on different learning techniques which develop different kind of
intelligence.

Youre an English teacher at Infant Education and you must design one activity related
to art or music. Please, develop at least two types of intelligence (for example
visual/spatial, bodilykinesthetic, musical, etc.) through this activity.
Explain the activity and the kind of intelligence you take into account and why.
