Inside Left Panel
This panel will include a close up of the
artist pulling a comic facial expression,
which emphasises his entertaining,
unique star persona. The artist will fill
the frame of the photograph thus highlighting his importance a typical convention of hip-hop music.
I will manipulate this photo by extracting a silhouette and colouring it with a
galaxy overlay. This will highlight the up
-beat, fun nature of my artists music.
Outside Panel
Pop/hip-hop artists are quite close
to their fans, and some albums often
include a thank you note that comes
directly from the artist. Including
this in my digipak will suit the positive nature of my artists music, and
highlight the considerate, relaxed
side to my artists star persona.
Disk
Inside Right Panel
The disk will have an extreme close
up of my artists face placed around
the edges multiple times. The photos
will be pixelated, so as to create a
cartoon effect that highlights his
pop/hip-hop genre, and be multicoloured in order to make the
digipak brighter.
This panel will have a high degree of
similarity to the left panel, as I will
use the same galaxy overlay style.
However, I think I will use different
coloured patterns on each so as to
create a sense of variation.
The photo used for this panel will
possibly be a medium shot, that is
more relaxed than the left panel, so
as to show alternative sides to the
artists star persona.
I will try to stick to primary colours,
so that the colour scheme creates a
sense of continuity.
Back Cover
The back-cover of my digipak will
include a list of the songs on the album, as well as other featured artists. I will use the same typography
as the one used for my logo, in order
to create a sense of continuity that
emphasises my artists brand identity.
I also need to include legal information, as well as the record labels
logo.
Front Cover
I want the front cover of my
digipak to be quite simplistic, so
that audiences are fully focused
on the artists brand. The logo
will take up the majority of the
front-cover, however I will also
include some silhouettes of the
artist, to make the digipak seem
a bit more entertaining.
