01:01:09:07
The (approximate) point where the guy reacts surprised and begins to fall downward
01:01:12:06
The (approximate) point where he lands full-force on the ground
01:01:18:06
The first full frame of "black" at the completion of the fade-out to black
Although we have not delved into math formulas and TC conversions to relative (clock) time, see if you
discern and solve the following two questions by virtue of know the starting timecode of this visual
sequence.
1) How could the overall running time (the total duration) of this scene be determined using the given
timecode from at start of the fade in, and ending at the first full frame of Black after the fadeout?
Describe just below, the process you would take.
First, we have to convert both timecodes into seconds and frames:
a) 01:01:18:06 this is 1 minute (60 seconds) + 18 seconds + 6 frames = 78 seconds and 6 frames
b) 01:00:22:05 this is 22 seconds and 5 frames
Now, we only have to subtract b from a
78 seconds 22 seconds = 56 seconds
6 frames 5 frames = 1 frame
2) What is the actual running time of the above segment of this very short film?
56 seconds and 1 frame
