Taking A Stand:
The Daughters of Liberty and The Boycott Against British Goods
We chose to research the Daughters of [Link] chose this topic because they took

a stand for womens rights by boycotting British goods. We were originally going to
research womens rights as a whole, but with help from [Link], our history
teacher, we chose the Daughters of Liberty. We were interested in this topic because
womens rights has always been a big issue around the world, so we chose to look into
it.
For research, we used the internet. To find sources to use, we used the search engine
[Link] most useful sources were the five sources that provided pictures of the
Daughters of Liberty. They were the most useful because they provided photos of the
Daughters of Liberty along with some extra information to add to our research. A
common problem we came across while researching was finding reliable sources.
There was a handful of websites that werent providing the information we needed.
The category we chose was a website. We chose to do a website because we felt,
that would be the easiest way to get in all the important information. We have not
created our project yet. We think the most frustrating part of creating our project will be
how time consuming it is. Knowing well have other things to be working on, creating our
project will take up some time. The most enjoyable part may be setting the theme of the
website. Adding details, different fonts and colors, basically making it look pleasing to
the eye.
This years theme for History Fair is Taking A Stand. We chose the Daughters of
Liberty because they took a stand for womens rights, by boycotting against British
Goods, because of raised taxes. Womens rights have always been a problem, and still
are a problem around the world. The Daughters of Liberty stood up for womens rights
by creating their own goods, rather than buying British Goods. They made a point, that
they can do anything anyone else can.
