TiO2/Ag/TiO2 (TAT) multilayer structure
Conduction in TAT multilayer depends on the thickness of middle Ag layer. Middle
Ag layer plays a crucial part in conduction. As per the previous reports, the
thickness of sandwitched Ag layer should be in between 8-13 nm. Actually there is
a critical thickness of Ag layer above or below which transmittance decreases. Our
main intention should be increase the transmittance and decrease the reflectance. If
the middle Ag layer is contiguous i.e. Thin film (TF) it will decrease the
transmittance. So now we can work in this way
1. We can modulate the structure of Ag i.e. TF, NP and NW
2. If we fabricate Ag NWs sandwitched between two TiO2 TFs, what will be
the effect on transmittance or reflectance? I think transmittance will
increase.
