makes! I think we had a great
year based on the diversity of
programming and the overall participation of our members. The emphasis as always
is to develop self confidence
through programs that challenge you each day. If the program is film/ theater, creative
writing, mentoring, or video/
This year we will have an opportunity to work on the Kids
Unlimited campus and their
enrichment programs. There
will be culinary arts, science,
poetry/theatrical arts, basketball and soccer clubs, and pass
to play sports.
Monthly Cost:
Medford - $20
White Mountain - $10
High School - $10
Ducks and Blazer games will
continue as well as movie
nights and leadership activities. Our big project this year
will be our documentary titled
Life in a Fishbowl,

THE PROGRAMS
Poetry & Theater
SCIENCE
This is our Documentary
group led by Ms. Catherine.
The class is really about poetry and how it relates to real
life through the eyes of teenage
young women. The documentary is called Life in a Fishbowl, in which we examine
the lives of these same young
women in the small commu-
nities of the Rogue Valley. We
will look at the family, education system, neighborhood,
relationships, and of course
personal thoughts relating to
self-esteem. We feel that this
will be the opportunity for all
of us to envision life beyond
the Rogue Valley
Science Fair
We got lucky with Ms. Jessica
and the science fair. She comes
to else with a wealth of knowledge and experience. She really
makes the class fun and educational. Ms. Jessica will work
with our high school students
on Tuesday and the middle
school students from White
Mountain Middle School on
Wednesdays. Again, we are
fortunate to have her work
with our students.
Art Appreciation
Mrs. Parcina is the new Art
teacher at the Kids Unlimited
Academy. Between Ms. Jessica and Mrs. Parcina, they have
been very instrumental in offering classes for high school
freshman. This class will hopefully be the catalyst for our
graphic and t-shirt design. I
plan on participating as well.
Tutoring for the Elementary program
Every Wednesday the members from White Mountain
Middle School will travel the
elementary school to mentor
and tutor their students. They
really enjoy helping the younger members
Culinary Artsc
Culinary Arts has been a staple
in the Kids Unlimited enrichment program forever. All of
our students have enjoyed the
cooking class also known as
the eating class, and with Ms.
Peggy adding her own combination of tough love and fun
makes for a great session.
Study Hall and Video/podcasting
Study hall is a must for students
trying to become proficient
in their studies. We also have
Easy CBM to help with reading comprehension. Each Friday Deicy and Mariela provide
us with the weekend wrap-up
via videocast, great for public
speaking.
Humane Society
Starting November 19th we
are back together with the Humane Society. In the spring,
about 10 of our members regularly worked with the dogs at
the shelter, but really learned
compassion and the importance and value of this organization. Saturdays only.
