KG2 Lesson Reflection and Improvement

Reem Yousif taught lesson number 4 to the KG2/8 class at Al-hanan kindergarten on 19-10-2016. She focused on teaching the students how to write the number 4 using a powerpoint presentation. She paid special attention to helping lower ability students learn by having them come up to the whiteboard. However, she realized the mistake of giving each student a watercolor without ensuring they knew how to use it first. For her next lesson, she wants to find activities that help students learn creatively.

Firstly, discuss one aspect that YOU feel you did very well. Try to analyze why you think it
worked well and what hints you would share with other teachers about the successful strategy/
resource/activity/management style etc.
I start my lesson with the powerpoint and I teached the students how to write number 4. When
I finished, when I know that students who have a high abilities I focus on the low students, I
let them come to the whiteboard to write number 4 and if there's any student who didn't know
how to write the number, I put some points and he have to write on this point so he will know
how to write it.

Secondly, elaborate on the aspect identified by YOU that requires attention. Discuss what the
problem was, why it occurred and what action you intend to take to be more successful in the
next lesson.
The big mistake that I did it on the activities that I give each student a watercolor, I realized
that the students don't know how to work with it, so I helped them to finish it.

Personal focus for next lesson:

I would like to learn some activities that can help the students to learn in a creative way.
