CAPTION "19 MARCH"

INT. EDDIES BEDROOM -- MORNING

Birds are heard chirping outside. Eddie, a typical 16 year


old boy, who is popular, wakes up. He gets out of bed and
gets dressed into casual clothing. As he is dressing,
Rachaels, 17, highly achieving, popular, Eddies best
friend, voice is heard.
RACHAEL
(voice-over)
This is Eddie.

INT. BATHROOM

Quiet background music is heard (track: "Move On").Eddie


brushes his teeth, combs his hair and applies aftershave.
RACHAEL
(voice-over)
Hes 16 years old and someone I
know very well. We go way back.
FADE

INT. HALLWAY

Eddie walks down the stairs and grabs his trainers. He sits
on the second to bottom step and puts them on. He then gets
up from the step and enters the kitchen.
RACHAEL
(voice-over)
I first met him in primary school;
weve been best friends ever since

INT. KITCHEN

As he walks through the door, he picks up his coat from the


hook and the door and puts it on. He picks up his keys from
the kitchen counter. He leaves the kitchen, and then leaves
the house.
RACHAEL
(voice-over)
Eddies always trying to impress
the girls wherever he goes. At
parties, at school, in the
supermarket. Anywhere.

EXT. EDDIES HOUSE

Eddie locks the front door and walks down his garden path.
RACHAEL
(voice-over)
But things never go right for
Eddie...
Background music fades out.
Title appears on the screen "PROM"
FADE

EXT. ROAD OPPOSITE VILLAGE PARK

Eddie crosses the road and opens the gate to the park. The
sound of traffic from the road is heard.

EXT. PARK

Eddie walks into the park and towards the swings. The park
is not busy. He sits on the swing and begins to swing
gently. His phone begins to ring, and the ringtone can be
heard. He pulls his phone from his pocket revealing that the
caller is Rachael. He answers the phones.
EDDIE
Hey, where are you?
There is a pause while Rachael speaks. This is not heard.
EDDIE
(concerned)
What?
There is another pause as Rachael speaks. This is not heard.
EDDIE
(panicked)
Oh my God. Im on my way!
Eddie jumps up from the swing, dropping his phone onto the
ground. He runs to the gate, and slams it after running
through.
Eddies phone is seen on the ground, with the call still
ongoing.
