Designed and taught various meaningful units of artistic study to 240 Art 1, Art 2, and AP Studio: 2-D
and Drawing Portfolio; co-sponsored the National Art Honor Society (NAHS), and was a tour leader for
an EF tour to Italy in spring 2016. Currently teaching and designing units for Computer Graphics,
Advanced Computer Graphics, and AP Studio: Drawing; co-sponsoring the NAHS; co-chair for the
Visual Arts Department.

Designed and taught 3 units with 3 Art 1 classes on metaphoric weaving and devotion, duality through
clay portraiture and symbolism, and memory expressed through abstraction and cut paper tunnel books.
Mentored advanced art students and designed 3 open-ended prompts for an Advanced Placement
portfolio breadth piece.

Planned and taught 8 units with 500 students from Pre-K through 5th grade, including a conceptual
vessel for a secret using hand-building techniques with 5th grade, an ordinary to extraordinary underwater
plant sculpture using recycled materials with 4th grade, a series of drawing and printmaking observational
engagements that composed a perception portfolio with 3rd grade, shape finding and making through
collage with Pre-K, and imaginary shape creatures with Kindergarten using painted textural paper;
assumed all classroom responsibilities and full workload of a cooperating mentor teacher.
Interdisciplinary Teaching Intern, City Neighbors Charter School, Baltimore, MD
Co-designed and implemented two arts integrated units on Social Studies/Sense of Self through collage
and varied drawing media based on personal preferences and abilities; and Math/Patterns using stampmaking and printing with a 1st grade class, in addition to working with the students over the course of
four months during daily work time.
Teaching Intern, North County High School, Glen Burnie, MD
Designed and implemented a one-day lesson on abstract/non-objective emotive expressions
using symbolic color, shape, mark, and composition with a Foundations of Art Class, in addition to
working with the students over the course of fourth months with lessons planned by a mentor teacher.
