INTRODUCTION
The project entitled MATERIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM which is to manage
the material database and it is implemented with inventory management. There are 6
modules. They are login module, main module, item master, supplier master details,
transactions & reports. There are no well material management is using and the record of the
material was not complete, because it depends up on the invoice they received.
Ensure materials and products are available for production and delivery to customers.
Maintain the production operations.
Plan manufacturing activities, delivery schedules and purchasing activities.
All manufacturing organization, whatever it is they face the same practical problem,
that customer want products to be available in a shorter time that it takes to make them. This
means that some level of planning is required. Companies need to control the types &
quantity of the materials they produces,and plan what quantities to ensure that they will be
able to meet current and future customer demand ,all at the lowest possible cost.

Roots Cast Pvt. Ltd., (RCPL) (formerly known as Aruna Auto Castings Private
Limited) was established in 1984 to meet the captive requirements of the Roots group. With

operations to manufacture High Pressure Die Cast Aluminium and Zinc components.
Manufacturing capability in HPDC line having Cold Chamber Die Cast machines from
