*China's Chang'e 3 moon lander and its Yutu rover touched down on the moon
Saturday (Dec. 14) at about 8:11 a.m. EST (1311 GMT), though it was late
Saturday night local time at the mission's control center in Beijing during the
landing. It is the first soft-landing on the moon by any spacecraft in 37 years. On
the moon. The "Chang'e" missions, named after the Chinese Moon
Goddess, are focused on lunar exploration; the Yutu rover explores the
moon,yutu a mythological creature lives on the moon.
*Diageo is to launch a limited-edition whisky from its White Horse stable in the
Travel Retail channel ahead of the Chinese Year of the Horse.
White Horse Gold Edition 1890 blends whiskies including Lagavulin for a
creamy, sweet and robust Scotch with a delicately smoky finish. The name of
the whisky is taken from the year White Horse was founded.
*Aningaaq" is a short film (about 7 minutes) released in November 2013. The
titular character is an Inuit fisherman in Greenland, who answers a call on his
radio set, and ends up having a short, yet meaningful, conversation with the
other person.
The idea of this film emerged from another 2013 release. Which is this other
