Reflection
So far this week has seemed like an in depth recap of UWRT 1101. My
previous teacher was also very focused on the concept of writing as inquiry. I
believe the assignment that forced the most amount of thought for me was
the Inquire portion of Module One. It opened me up to a plethora of
questions, but I found myself not knowing how to ask them. It was almost as
if I needed to do the assignment backwards to complete it. I started to jot
down random notes from the things floating around in my head, and from the
notes I was able to formulate questions; from the questions I was able to
express my thoughts in greater detail. Even then I feel as if my writing
wasnt up to par. It seems more like disheveled and unorganized thoughts.
For some reason I continually went back to the ideas of discrimination, and
protests. Both related to American values. I guess they seemed so prominent
in todays culture I couldnt shake the thought of them.

The same was true for my flexible outline in Module Two. I am trying to
allow myself to just write and discover as I go, but I am never really pleased
with the outcome. Maybe that is because I am incredibly uncomfortable.
After all, I have never considered myself to be much of a writer in the first
place. The thought of writing produces a certain amount of anxiety in me
and I am not sure why. I am becoming more wiling to write and inquire but I
am very unsure of the quality of my product.
