Reflection- Day 7
It is the final day of the NSC workshop and I had identified
a weakness within myself and was determined to begin
building on it. Whenever I am in a large group setting, I
tend to be laid back. I want to develop my public
speaking skills and overcome the fear of speaking in large
groups. Before we left on day 6, we were given the task of
preparing and presenting with a peer, a lesson plan using
what we had learnt about the NSC. I was chosen as one of
the persons to present and I accepted the challenge.
As the first presenter, I was confident that my lesson was
adherent to criterion outlined during days 4 to 6 and I
was not as nervous as I had expected to be. I was hoping
that my peers would be able to identify weaknesses and
strengths in my planning and presentation and assist me
with ways to improve them.
At the end of my presentation, I was satisfied that the
lesson was well received and that it was indeed up to
standard
