the reflected beams are brought
back together, an interference
pattern results.” This is the
precise system used to interfere
with light, and since only 1 arm
of the Michelson system is used

beams, it is less complicated.

sounds, just as white light encompasses all possible colors, The gentle
murmur of 'White Noise/White Light' forms a place of sonic refuge within the
bustling city," she says, noting that the unique sound-scape masks out other
noises of the city.

"The city's sounds are recorded, remixed and curated into an interactive
landscape," she continues. "Overheard conversations are mixed in with readings
from Greek literature. The sound of traffic is juxtaposed with inaudible
frequencies in the city. ...Visitors and citizens can experience the city in a
new way, tracing its aural present and its recounted past."
