Piaget’s Theory: Outline

Goals: To become familiar with Piaget’s Cognitive Theory through outline.

Materials: To create the outline, you must have access to the internet, Inspiration 8.0 and your text
book.

Instruction: First you must look over the web links that I have provided for you on the WebQuest. After
thoroughly reading the links, you will then create an outline of Piaget’s Cognitive Theory using
Inspiration 8.0. You will outline each of his 4 stages by finding pictures, examples of each theory. For
Example: For the Preoperational Stage, you will find a picture of a child between the ages of 2 and 7.
Then you will find a picture of a child pretending or playing “make believe”. You will then create a link
between the two pictures and explain why these are connected. You must do this for each of the 4
theories and must have at least 2 examples of each theory, not including the picture of the subject’s age.
