Schism

As preached by Paul Brake

It is interesting how one single word will stick out and you find that you
cannot ignore it. It centers you, captivates you. That happened here.
And when I read the scripture I though “oh I know this topic, I’ll be able
to do well here”. But when I wrote out all the surrounding verses it did
not feel right. Something was wrong. Then I began cutting away the
extra verses and it boiled down to just two.

And then the Lord started adding word upon word, line upon line,
precept upon precept, a little here and a little there, and the topic was
not what I thought it would be at all. And I found I was pushing out into
some very, very deep and scary waters. I found that I was going into a
topic that is incredibly profound and important. I saw myself in very
deep water wondering who would want to come this deep with me. I
was expecting something kind of warm and cuddly and got a battle
cry.

1 Corinthians 12: 25 That there should be no schism in the

body; but that members should have the same care one for
another. 26 And whether one member suffer, all the
members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the
members rejoice with it.

This is going to be quite the little talk today. I’ll need everyone to bear
with me and pray and work with me to bring this stuff out properly. I
hope everyone has their spiritual thinking caps on. I hope everyone is
well rested because we are about to do some work. We are going to do
a little swimming and we are definitely going into some deep water.
There won’t be any touching bottom this morning. If we try to touch
bottom here, if we try to ground ourselves on our own understanding,
we will surely drown. I got a little teaching with a very sober warning.

So let’s look at this scripture from the Apostle Paul. The Corinthian
church was a spiritual church with all the gifts in operation, yet it had
some deep underlying problems that Paul had to deal with. We have
those same problems today in our gatherings.

The text I would like to take is on the word “schism” as it appears here.

Shisma: GREEK; Split implying damage. Division and dissention

implying lack of unity.
So what causes these schisms, these divisions? The Bible says there
SHOULD be no schism in the body of Christ, which is the church. It
does not say there isn’t a division, we all know that there are lots of
divisions, but it says there should not be any division. So in this text we
want to answer the following questions:

1. Why are they there?

2. Where do they come from?
3. How are they made?
4. How are they manifested?
5. Who makes them?
6. How can we fix them?

1 Corinthians 11:18 For first of all, when you come

together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among
you; and I partly believe it. 19 For there must be also
heresies among you that they, which are approved, may be
made manifest among you.

See there is not just a single division, a sole point of contention, but
divisions, multiple division among the people. In this one church there
were multiple divisions. And Paul gives us valuable insight here. He
says to have a schism, a division, there must also be a heresy.
Divisions, schisms are caused by or somehow linked to heresy. Heresy
we remember is a stoning offense under the law of the old testament.
Heresy, according to the law is a capital crime meaning it had the
death penalty. So divisions are caused by or directly linked to a crime
that carries the penalty of death. Is that right? It is important to keep
this in mind as we go forward because there are spiritual deaths as
well as physical deaths. What does the Bible say about it?

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the
people, even as there shall be false teachers among you,
who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying
the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift
destruction.

Peter takes us one step further calling them “Damnable heresies”.

These heresies are damning. They carry the death penalty, and not
just a physical death, but a death of the soul and spirit.

DAMNABLE: To be damned. To die body, soul and spirit. Heresies that

bring destruction.
And how are they bringing them in? It says they are not publicly
denying but doing it “privily” and secretly. Not openly rejecting the
Bible but sneaking in dogmas which are completely contrary to the
written, revealed word of God. They will preach the word 100%, they
will preach the message 100%, they will quote here and quote there
until you drop your guard and then they will privily, sneakily, quietly
slip something in. And that something will not be according to the
word. That something will be a heresy. It will come from the
bottomless pit. It will be a damning lie from satan. And that heresy is a
crime so severe that it carries the death penalty.

Listen close here. Peter says they are amongst us. Not from outside
but from inside. They will bring in something that will kill you if you
receive it. That is what the devil did to Eve. He came quoting the word
to her. She heard it and dropped her guard. He was quoting the
message, can’t be too bad a guy if he is quoting the message of the
hour to me. And then he slipped in a heresy. It was just a little one. He
just changed one little word to bend it to fit the lusts of the flesh.

And what did this heresy bring? DAMNATION AND DEATH TO THE
ENTIRE HUMAN RACE! Each and every sickness, each and every pain,
each and every death is a direct result of what happened in the garden
of Eden when Eve forsook the Word of God in favour of the dogma of
the devil.

One little heresy, one little carnal interpretation, one little “new
revelation on the message” brought all that disease and death on top
of us. That’s what it was. It wasn’t a new message. The devil can’t
create so he can’t bring a new message. He can only pervert. So it
wasn’t a new message but it was a “new revelation on the message
which was already preached to Eve”. He took what was already
preached and he altered it by injecting carnal, human wisdom and
philosophy.

One little change to the word of God and it damned the entire human
race. Billions and billions condemned to a fiery hell because of one
little heresy being privily slipped in 6000 years ago.

If Jesus had not come, then there would not be a single soul to survive.
Think about it. It was only one little heresy. He privily slipped it in and
it brought sickness, death and destruction to every living soul for all
time. The devil brought in a heresy and when Eve received it, that
heresy killed her. She took that heresy to Adam and when he received
it, it killed him. They did not die until they received the heresy, and the
very day they received it they died.
The devil will bring a heresy to us, and when we receive it, we will die.
And how does the devil do it? How is the devil able to bring such a
horrible thing into the family of God? He doesn’t bring it to the world.
He is not even bringing it to the denominational churches any more.
Don’t get that idea. They are long gone off into apostasy.

They have been worshipping Mary and the like for decades and in
some cases centuries. He don’t have to try to fool them, they already
fooled themselves. So how is he doing it? How could something that
evil and malignant sneak into the house of God? Surely he would be
easy to spot. Pitch fork, horns and a horse tail stick out pretty plainly
don’t they? So where is it coming from?

Acts 20:29 For I know this that after my departing shall

grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking
perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31
Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three
years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with
tears.

Wolves in the flock. Some coming in and some coming up but they are
among us speaking perverse things. Perverse. Not message and not
word but a perversion of it. A twisting or a changing of it or a “new
revelation” on the message. They are amongst us. Some come in from
outside and some sneak in from inside.

How do wolves hunt? They separate the flock, they get the weak ones
away from the strong ones, then they encircle them so the strong ones
can not get near, and they tear the weak ones apart. That is what the
devil did in Eden. He didn’t try to take on Eve when she was with
Adam. He waited and he separated her from Adam. He brought a
physical schism between them. And when he had gotten the weak
away from the strong, he attacked and privily, without Adam knowing,
brought in his heresy and created a spiritual schism.

And today when they have gotten the weak ones away from the strong
ones, they kill and devour the weak. How do they get the weak ones
away? They bring in heresies that cause Schisms, Divisions. Just
exactly the same as the devil did in Eden. They create divisions in the
body by bringing in personal dogmas and creeds that do not line up
with Scripture, they bring in cultural and religious creeds from outside
of the word of God and then proceed against the weaker members with
damnable heresies. And when they convince them of the heresies and
the sheep accept and receive those things, they die.

Hebrews 12: 9 Be not carried about with divers and

strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be
established with grace; not with meats, which have not
profited them that have been occupied therein.

Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. Be not carried
about. Be not driven off and divided. Be not carried away from the
flock with some strange doctrine. Don’t let some “new revelation” lead
you away from the general body of Christ. Do not let some worldly
thing like a Halloween party, or lottery tickets, or bingos, or card
parties, or Christmas trees which the Word of God condemns get into
you. Don’t fall for some new revelation like the doctrine of Perusia or
some Return Ministry idea with no scriptural backing separate you
from the flock.

The wolves will try and carry you away with a new doctrine, with a new
revelation, with a new heresy. And once they get you away, and you
receive that heresy, you will die. The devil goes about as a roaring lion
seeking who he may devour. That is what the Bible says. Let yourself
get carried away with a strange doctrine, with a new revelation, by a
heresy and you will be devoured by the devil. Eve got carried away
with a diverse and strange doctrine. It was not what her messenger,
her pastor, Adam had told her. It was different. It was added. It was not
exactly what he had said but BASED ON what he had said. How many
times do we hear that in the message people today.

The prophet never said he would return, but based on a line where he
said he would ride this road again, they bring in the heresy. Every
heresy is based on something in the message or the Bible. And you will
not find the exact wording of the heresy in either. We’ll look closer at
that later.

Colossians 2: 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through

philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after
the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Spoil us. So we can be spoiled. How can we be spoiled? What is the

mechanism and result? This spoiled is from the Greek word sylagogeo
which means to take captive. To spoil is to take captive, to separate
out and imprison. To spoil is to possess.
Beware! Lest any man separate you out and capture and imprison and
possess you. How can they do it? They do it through philosophy and
vane deceit. Philosophy from Greek philosophia, a noun, which
means human wisdom. Human wisdom or carnal understanding. The
Bible says that the carnal mind cannot understand the things of God
and is an enemy to God. It further goes on to say that human wisdom
is foolishness unto God. The do it by explaining the word to you, or
should I say explaining away the word. The famous “God didn’t really
mean that” or “we have to interpret it in context” lines comes up
often. Explaining away the scripture. Philosophy. The devil did it to
Eve, he tried to do it to Jesus, and he tries it every day with us.

2 Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with

feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment
now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation
slumbereth not.

Peter says they do it with feigned words. Fabricated, made up words.

Lies! Philosophies! Heresies! They are speaking lies. Jesus said the
devil was a liar from the beginning and the father of it. They are
children of their father the devil and his lusts they will do. They are not
speaking the Word. They are not speaking the message. They are
making something up that is BASED on the truth in the Word or in the
message. And with those lies they buy and sell you, they make
merchandise of you. With their philosophy they drag every last cent
out of your pocket and even worse they will buy and sell you souls. But
there is even more.

2 Corinthians 11: 13 for such are false apostles, deceitful

workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an
angel of light. 15 Therefore it is not great thing if his
ministers also be transformed as the ministers of
righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Transformed: GREEK: metaschematizo. Verb. Meaning to

masquerade in a disguise.

They are not changed into or become ministers of righteousness, but

they masquerade in a disguise as ministers of righteousness. They
pretend to be angels of light but inside are filled with darkness. They
never change one iota, they simply cover themselves and hide in
darkness.
The demons are Transformed as ministers of righteousness. This isn’t
Catholic the priests he is talking about here. Catholics aren’t wearing
any disguises. They have the turned around collars for all the world to
see. None of the denominations are. These are MESSAGE PREACHERS.
False apostles. Deceitful workers. Peter says they are amongst us. Paul
said they come up from inside. They come with the message, quoting
the message, smiles and halleluiahs like you can’t imagine. They are
masquerading their Saint disguises for the entire world to see. And
they are “Satan’s ministers”.

They are Satan’s ministers. That is what the Bible calls them, Satan’s
ministers. And they are nothing new; they show up in each and every
church age. They minister to and for the devil. He owns them.
Ownership is possession. Did you realize that? When someone is
possessed they are OWNED by that spirit. These ministers of Satan are
Owned by him and he dwells in them. That makes them his slaves.

They are slaves of the devil. And a slave can only do what his master
tells him. Theses slave ministers of the devil are transformed into, or
more precisely, disguised as ministers of righteousness. They are the
proverbial wolves in sheep clothing. They come in to separate you out.
They are here to cause schisms, create divisions among the brethren,
to separate out the flock and kill and devour the sheep.

Who are they and how can we recognize them? If we don’t know who
they are then they will surely win. How can you defend yourself when
you don’t even know who your enemy is?

2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous
times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own
selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient
to parents, unthankful, unholy 3 Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers
of those that are good, 4 Traitors, head, high-minded, lovers
of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of
godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn
away. 6 For of his sort are they which creep into houses, and
lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with
divers lusts, 7 ever learning and never able to come to the
knowledge of the truth.

These ministers of Satan are ever learning, smart, educated men. And
this is the new education. Every time a message comes from God the
devil has to learn it. The word is not revealed to him. Else he would
have had one of his workers bring out the seven seals before the
prophet could and totally destroy his credibility.

The devil can read the Bible, surely, and he can listen to the message.
But he doesn’t get the revelation. He merely gets the letter. Then he
takes that letter and makes a perverted copy of it. He mixes the Letter
of the Word with philosophy and creed and produces a carnal
interpretation of the truth. He perverts the Word and brings a heresy.
And that heresy will be perfectly logical and perfectly pleasing to the
flesh.

So to these ministers of Satan have no revelation. They only have the

written letter and the spoken message. And they will take that
message and use it as a tool to privily, sneakily bring something in that
is contrary to that message. They make a perverted copy of the
message. And remember, the devil only had to bring in one heresy in
Eden to condemn the entire human race. They don’t have to change
much. They just have to get us to receive one heresy. One heresy is all
it will take. Little scary isn’t it.

2 Peter 2: 12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to

be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things they
understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own
corruption; 13 And shall receive the reward of
unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the
day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves
with their own deceiving while they feast with you; 14
having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin;
beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with
covetous practices; cursed children; 15 Which have forsaken
the right way, and are gone astray, following; the way of
Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of
unrighteousness.

They are natural, not spiritual, but natural beasts. The speak evil of
things “they understand not” because they have no revelation. They
don’t understand the spiritual things of the Word of God. They shall
perish in their own corruption, their own philosophies, their own
wisdom; they shall perish in their own heresy. Who are they? They are
right amongst us as “spots in our feasts”. Right here in our churches
feasting on the same manna we feast on. They are not at another feast
but feasting WITH us. They are “in the message”. They are taking the
Lord’s supper with us too.
Notice Peter compares them with Balaam. Balaam was not an
unbeliever, he was a prophet. He had the alters and the sacrifices. God
even spoke to him. He was a prophet and he stood behind the pulpit.
And he was anointed as such. And today these brute beasts, carnal,
cursed children, stand behind the pulpit and preach damnable heresies
while masquerading in the disguise of saintly, spirit filled message
preachers. And most will not see it.

How close are they to the truth in this day? My, it is hard to believe.
Let’s see what Jesus had to say about it?

Mark 13: 22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise,
and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were
possible, even the elect.

How close will they be? Jesus said ONLY the elect would be spared. And
the elect are spared by the grace of God, not by their own
understanding. The elect are saved because the Holy Spirit will testify
to them that what is being said does not line up with the Word of God.
The elect will search the scriptures and God will reveal the truth of the
scriptures to them.

The false propheets are using these heresies to seduce, to beguile, just
like that devil did in the Garden of Eden. And only the elect will not be
seduced. And who are the elect? The church? THE BRIDE. Justification
will not save you from the heresies. Sanctification will not save you
from the heresies.

ONLY THE HOLY SPIRIT! That is the only thing that will protect you from
the seduction of the heresies. Without the Holy Spirit you will believe
the lies.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in

the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed
to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in
hypocrisy; having their consciences seared with a hot iron.

Doesn’t that just sum up so much; Seducing spirits. The false Christs
are possessed with seducing spirits. What does the word Christ mean?
It means the anointed. So the false anointed are still anointed.

They are not anointed with the holy spirit. They are anointed with
seducing spirits. They are the ministers of Satan we heard earlier.
Ministers of Satan anointed with seducing spirits speaking feigned
words, lies in hypocrisy, having a form of godliness but denying the
very power thereof. Their conscience is seared with a hot iron. Seared.
When you sear a steak you seal it in. Nothing comes in or goes out.
Their consciences are seared, sealed so that they can no longer feel.
No more conscience, no more guilt. They feel no guilt. Ministers of
Satan, masquerading as ministers of righteousness, anointed with
seducing spirits speaking heresies to divide and destroy the body of
Christ and feeling no guilt about it. I told you it would be hard to
believe but

Seducing spirits lead captive silly women. What is a woman? Biblically

a woman is representative of a Church. So seducing spirits lead captive
silly church members laiden with sins lead away by lusts. They will
seduce us through the flesh. They will seduce through philosophy and
psychology and logic. They will seduce through heresy. They will
seduce your flesh, your understanding, your carnal wisdom, your lusts,
your desires, your ambitions. The devil did it in Genesis and will do it
till the rapture.

2Thessalonians 2: 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth

already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be
taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be
revealed, whom the lord shall consume with the spirit of his
mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with
all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 and with all
deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish:
because they received not the love of the truth, that they
might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them
strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 that they
all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had
pleasure in unrighteousness.

Coming after the working of Satan. Satan’s ministers are doing that.
Them that perish do so because they receive not the love of the truth.
If we don’t love the truth, which is the revealed word of God written in
the Bible, then we are sent a strong delusion by seducing spirits that
we will believe a lie.

If we are not elected, if we are not earnestly desiring and seeking the
truth, then we will be seduced by heresy. There is no other option. And
what is our reward if we are seduced by heresy? The Bible says “that
hey all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure
in unrighteousness”. This goes back to what we heard earlier. These
heresies are not harmless by any means; they are damnable heresies.
Receive them and you die, just like Eve.

Hebrews 10: 26 for if we sin willfully after we receive the

knowledge of the truth there remain no more sacrifice for
sins, 27 but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and
fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

If we sin willfully. What is sin? Sin is unbelief in any fashion. If we

disbelieve willfully, if we are shown the word of God and choose to
follow a creed, a dogma, a “new revelation” instead, then we fall into
this category. If we are seduced away from the Word to a heresy
knowing the what the Bible says then we are sinning willfully. If we
turn from the truth we are spoiled. If we reject the message of the hour
for a new revelation, then there remains no more sacrifice, only
judgment. If we will receive the devils lies at the hands of his
masquerading ministers then we will be rewarded with the devil’s
reward. If we reject the heresies, then we will be rewarded with
Christ’s reward. It is up to us to choose. Peter brings it out even more.

2 Peter 2:20 for if after they have escaped the pollutions of

the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and
overcome, the later end is worse with them that the
beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have
known the way of righteousness, than, after they have
known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered
unto them 22 But it is happened unto them according to the
true proverb, the dog is turned to his own vomit again; and
the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

They are told the truth the same as we are being told the truth in this
Bible. They have received the knowledge of the truth. They heard the
message for the hour. They escaped the pollution of the world through
the knowledge of Jesus Christ. They became Christians. They were
among us and part of us.

These ministers of Satan are in the message. They heard the holy
commandment that was “delivered” to them. The message, the
revealed word of God for the hour, was preached to them and
vindicated with signs, wonders and miracles. They have “knowledge of
truth”, and are ever learning and yet never coming to the knowledge
of Christ.
They know the letter of the message and the letter of the Bible inside
and out and yet they do not know Christ. They have an intellectual
understanding with absolutely no revelation at all. That is one of the
main reasons their sermons are just a series of quotes. They do not
have the revelation of the Word of God to bring out their own sermons
so they rely on parroting someone else. They are like the seven sons of
Sceva, who without any revelation whatsoever, tried to preach the
gospel with Paul’s quotes, preaching Jesus whom Paul preached. They
were powerless and overtaken by the devil.

Today they can quote Brother Branham, tell you what he ate for
breakfast and the colour of his toothbrush but they do not know Jesus
Christ. They all have fancy computer programs that will pump out cut
and paste sermons that will dazzle you. They know all the right words,
they are eloquent speakers, and they have absolutely no knowledge of
the truth.

And they will twist and pervert the message bringing in damnable
heresies leading people straight to hell in the name of Christianity. The
Bible calls them dogs and pigs. Not sheep at all. Dogs and pigs are the
lowest form of animal life. They are scavengers, eating whatever
garbage comes their way. They were delivered from the world through
knowledge and then went straight away and eat it back up again.

They will get washed out of a denominational system with the message
and bring their denomination spirit with them and denominate you with
it. A little leaven will leaven the whole lump. A little heresy will get in
and poison an entire group.

1 John 2: 18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye

have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there
many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if
they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued
with us: but they went out, that they might be made
manifest that they were not of us.

Why can they not continue in the message as it was brought by the
Holy Spirit? Why do they have to bring something in or leave
something off? They are not of us. They were never of us. They are a
different seed and have a different spirit. They are not the children of
God.
Jesus called them the children of their father the devil. John the Baptist
called them serpent’s seed, a generation of vipers. These were not
junkies on the street corner, these were the preachers. And Jesus said
their father was the devil and they were his children. They were
Satan’s ministers. Jesus said full well you make the word of God none
effect teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. They rejected
the word of God and taught heresies to the people and the people
respect and admired them for it. It was the preachers then and it is the
preachers now. It isn’t the atheists out on the street, it is the preachers
In the churches. It is the same thing today.

2 Peter 2: 19 while they promise them liberty, they

themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a
man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

They promise liberty. They will promise you liberty and deliverance.
They bring the message, the gospel of salvation, but themselves are
servant’s of corruption, Satan’s ministers, masquerading as angels of
light. They are in total bondage, making merchandise of us, spoiling us,
taking us into bondage with them by their heresies which they privily
bring in. And there are plenty to listen to them too. One feeds the
other. The false apostles bring in heresies, which attract the make
believers and unbelievers and then they feed the preachers.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not
endure sound doctrine: but after their own lusts shall they
heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 and
they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be
turned unto fables.

Turned to fables. Fables are not lies, fables are stories of supernatural
happenings. How many fables are in the message today? Everyone is
pointing to the miracles of the prophet’s ministry. What about
miracles, signs and wonders today? Jesus Christ is the same yesterday
today and forever. He is still doing the same things in his church today
as he always has. But they don’t see it. They look to the past
neglecting the present. It has always been that way.

And once they get your eyes off of Jesus Christ then they will bring in
those heresies. Look how many are going around today. Perusia?
Seven Thunders? Return ministry? Remarriage? How many other
heresies have been and are being privily brought in? I have heard that
there are people being baptized in the name of Brother Branham.
Heresies! Brought in by Satan’s ministers anointed with seducing
spirits, masquerading as preachers of righteousness. What does the
Bible say to do about it? What can we do?

2 John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this
doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him
God speed: 11 for he that biddeth him God speed is partaker
of his evil deeds.

Not only should we not receive them, if we do anything to help them,

even a word of encouragement, we become a partaker of their deeds. I
said it would be a very sober warning. Don’t even wish them luck. If
someone comes preaching something that is not written in black and
white in the Bible and is not exactly what the prophet said, not based
on what he said, but exactly what he said, then have no part in it.

And don’t be fooled by quote preachers. Satan’s ministers are great

quote preachers. They will quote you a dozen sermons and then
INTERPRET them to you. Not saying what the prophet said, but saying
what he MEANT.

How often do you hear that coming from them? That is what the devil
did in Eden. First thing he did was quote the word exactly, then he left
quoting and started interpreting. He started injecting philosophy and
human reasoning, he started seducing Eve. And he does the same
thing today in the same way. They will read a little scripture. Rattle off
a bunch of quotes. You drop your guard and they slip a little something
in. The Bible says REFUSE IT.

2 Timothy 2: 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for

they will increase unto more ungodliness. 17 And their word
will eat as doth a canker: of whom Hymenaeus and Philetus.
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the
resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of
some.

Shun it completely. It won’t stop with a little bit, it will grow and eat.
It’s a cancer. You let one little heresy in to you group, suddenly it will
have grown and split the church and you will have five churches.
Sound familiar? And once the devil has caused that schism, he picks
away at the weaker of the flock devouring them as he will. Devouring.
Seducing them away with philosophies and wisdom, explaining away
scripture, twisting the message around, quoting and mis-quoting till he
has completely spoiled them.
And they will think they are right and that they are saved and that they
have “the revelation”. That is the church today. Laodicea. “We are rich,
and increased with goods and have need of nothing, and you are poor,
and wretched, and blind, and naked, and you don’t even know it.” We
have over a thousand denominations, all of which say they are right
and the next guy is wrong, and none of them are on the Word of God.

God wants a perfect bride. He wants a church that has not left
anything off or added anything on. He wants a church that is faithful to
him. When we accept any other doctrine besides the revealed word of
God for the hour, anything that does not line up perfectly with the
Bible, we are in spiritual adultery. Any group, any organization, any
church, that preaches one word different than what is in the Bible is a
spiritual prostitute. It says so in Revelation 17.

The devil is making merchandise of you. He is buying and selling you

at his whim. His ministers are masquerading among us pretending to
be a minister of righteousness, laughing at us for our blindness,
seducing us with his philosophy and wisdom of man, spoiling us and
taking us into bondage, splitting us and causing division that he may
destroy and devour us. IT SHOULD NOT BE SO!

Shun the vain babblings. Return ministry? Show me it in the Bible.

Show me one place the prophet said the words “I will die and rise
again and preach to the people after I am resurrected”. Not some fuzzy
elusion, but where he actually said “thus Saith the Lord” on it. Perusia?
Show me that in the Bible. Show me that in the message. Don’t explain
it to me based on something he said. SHOW ME WHERE HE SAID IT!
SHOW ME “THUS SAITH THE LORD”.

Don’t be seduced. Stick to the absolute. Stick to the Bible. And if the
Bible doesn’t say it in black and white, don’t believe it. If the prophet
did not say the exact words with “Thus Saith the Lord” behind it, DO
NOT BELIEVE IT!

Shun it. Don’t touch it. It is poison to you soul. It is a crime that carries
the death penalty. Touch not, taste not, handle not the Bible says. It is
not of God, it is of the devil coming from the devil, doing the work of
the devil, and had the devil’s reward. And it only has to be a little. A
little leaven will leaven the whole lump. Eve fell to one little heresy,
one little “new revelation”.

Do we need a new revelation? Did God fail to reveal anything in the

written word through his prophet? Did God forget to write something in
the Bible? Is something missing out of this word? Is the message
incomplete? NO!
We have it all. The whole written word is revealed in our day. Stick with
the truth. Stick with what we got from God. Paul says that if even an
angel were to come down from heaven with anything that is not
exactly according to Paul’s gospel, let that angel be accursed. If
anyone brings any new revelation on the message, any word that is
not absolutely Bible, even if it be an angel from heaven, let him be
accursed. Amen? Is that what Paul wrote? Is Jesus Christ the same
yesterday today and forever? Is this Word the same Word? Is the
message of the hour not the Revealed Word of God? If it is revealed
then why would we need another revelation?

Try every spirit. Compare every word to the Bible. If it matches exactly,
then embrace it, if not then reject it. Remember we only have to
receive one heresy to be spoiled by the devil. Pray over it. Search the
scriptures. Believe no man, for all men are liars but God’s word alone is
truth. Accept nothing at face value. It must be line upon line, precept
upon precept, word upon word. If it is not in the Bible it is not true,
Period. Be zealous. Be watchful for the devil is going about seeking to
devour us. And again, try every spirit. Try it with the word. It doesn’t
matter if it feels right or wrong, it doesn’t matter if it looks right or
wrong, check it with the Word. Is it in the Bible? That is our Urim
Thummim today. Moses had Aaron’s shield, we have the written word
of God. Is it in black and white? If not, have nothing to do with it.

How do we know that Brother Branham was the prophet? By the Bible.
Every word that he preached is according to the Bible, that is how we
know he was the prophet, everything he preached was Bible. The Urim
Thummim for our age glowed. This Bible is our Urim Thummim. If it
matches Bible it is right. If it isn’t Bible it is wrong.

And since everything the prophet said is Bible, it is true. And if

everything he preached was Bible, lets do like he said to do, and go
back to the Bible. And anything that isn’t Bible, reject it, and have
absolutely nothing to do with it. Touch not, taste not, handle not, which
all are to perish with the using; after the commandments and doctrines
of men.

Amen! Stick with the word. Stick with “Thus Saith the Lord”. Do this
and we shall be fine. Do this and we shall have no split in the body. If
there is a split happening, know most assuredly, that there is a heresy
in our midst. Remember that. If there is a split happening in the body,
there is also a heresy creeping in. Find that thing and destroy it before
it destroys you.
