INTRODUCTION
Bank people's cooperation Malaysia Berhad or Bank Rakyat was a Malaysian
bank which was established in the month of September 1954 under Cooperatives
Ordinance 1948, due to co-operative movement development in this country. Bank
Rakyat supervision by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) through Institution Act
Pembangunan Finance (DAFIA 2002) and Entrepreneurial and Cooperative Development
Ministry. Bank Rakyat bank offering products and banking service to the members Islam
and also not member through 117 branches, 78 ATM machine external premise, 12
Islamic prawn shop or we call Ar-Rahnu X'Change shop and 7 electronic banking centre
over Malaysia.
With this rapid development, decision has been made to establish respective
banks which are known as association bank in order to in order to meet financial
requirement members. In 28 September 1954, 11 of the association bank agreed to join
and form Bank Agong (Apex Bank). In year 1967, cooperative bank Malaysia Berhad
replaces Bank Agong and his membership opened for individuals, other than cooperative. Further, subsidiaries establishment also be allowed. In 6 January 1973, his
name converted into Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad or better known as Bank
Rakyat.
A special act have been spawned to manage Bank Rakyat administration, namely
Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Act (M) Limited (Special Provision) 1978 (Act 202) which
enables Bank Rakyat offers financing on those non-member.
HISTORY BANK RAKYAT
1. In year 1986, Tabung Simpanan Nuri juvenile was inaugurated.
2. In year 1989, Bank Rakyat has placed directly under Ministry Of Land
3. In 1993, the Cooperative Act was reviewed which allows the Bank to operate in
Sabah and Sarawak.
4. On 8 May 1993, Bank Rakyat took a giant step towards becoming a syariah cooperative bank by introducing Islamic banking products at four of its branches.
5. Bank Rakyat became a full-fledged Islamic cooperative bank in 2002. Hence,
with this major decision, Bank Rakyat marked another milestone in history where
it became the third bank to offer total Islamic banking products in Malaysia.
6. On 15 February 2002, Bank Rakyat together with six other financial and
development institutions was placed directly under the supervision of Bank
Negara Malaysia (Central Bank of Malaysia) under the Development of Financial
Institution Act (DFIA).
7. On 27 March 2004, Bank Rakyat was placed under the supervision of the
Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development.
8. On 15 April 2009, after the cabinet restructuring, Bank Rakyat was absorbed
under the Ministry of Finance.
9. To date, Bank Rakyat has a total of 119 branches offering Islamic banking
facilities to its customers

COMMENT
Actually a few Bank Rakyat product that does not in state here like property
Islamic loan, hire purchase loan for capital business vehicle and loan for small business
and medium. Product selection above is follow interest and try to answer question and
assignment in give. Is based on schedule above facility for bank loan commercial people
bank more focused to loans for small company and medium, they are because the
