However, I couldnt agree with you more. On a number of occasions
I have suggested that all Essendon board members elected before
this year should be sacked. I think Little is incompetent, and unlike
silly James Hird, I dont trust him (Little). I think he should have
been forced to resign for agreeing to find Hird guilty in early 2013.

I am quite happy to hang the bastards. I have been told a number
of times I have the numbers to move against them and Campbell at
an EGM. I just thought that as the Crows knew of the approach five
days before the meeting they could have expressed the same
indignation to Campbell and Little by phone. That would have
saved a flight to South Australia and the crocodile tears from the
Crows, McDermott and yourself. Essendon sinned and should be
punished, but the Crows made it a major issue and brought
unnecessary adverse publicity to the code.

told the Crows what he was doing.
Excuse me. I would never have said that Worsfold should have told
the Crows what he was doing because I, unlike you, was aware he
already told them. I thought that I actually made the point that
Worsfold told the Crows, and therefore the Crows were in a position
to kill it before take-off. I know I am not a journalist and I often
lament my inability to express myself, but I thought I made it clear
Worsfold had told the Crows. I actually quoted Chris McDermott
saying Worsfolds behaviour was outstanding, advising the
Crows well in advance of the meeting. One report said
Worsfold told the Crows five days in advance of the
meeting. I should welcome your input as to how I should have
expressed the foregoing more clearly so that you would have
understood that Worsfold told the Crows!
But any respectful football club and organisation would have stayed true to
its word that it would abide by the code - be upfront, transparent and
admirable in its behaviour.
Couldnt agree with you more. Unfortunately, if Essendon had done
that it would have made the AFL and the other 17 clubs selfconscious. Im only a Johnny-come-lately to the AFL but their
response to Phil Walshs death notwithstanding, I dont associate
upfront, transparent and admirable with the AFL , the 17 clubs
or the media, which acts as a branch office of the AFL.
But this seems beyond Essendon and Mr Paul Little.
Couldnt agree with you more. But what else would you expect. The
Essendon board agreed with the AFL, and by association, the
seventeen other clubs, to find Essendon and Hird guilty on 9
February 2013, which was five days before the first AFL / ASADA
witness was interviewed. I am amazed that someone such as you,
who supports openness and transparency hadnt exposed the AFL
and the clubs over this matter.
Xavier Campbell's attitude and sarcastic "apology" to Andrew Fagan was
yet another example of a football club that has a long way to go to earn
respect from its colleagues in the AFL.
Snap. In my capacity as a member, Ive sent over a dozen letters to
the board and have only received acknowledgement once. As we
have seen, protocol is not a strong suite at Essendon. Mind you, its
non-existent at the AFL and the vast majority of clubs. The ABC is
still waiting for a reply from every club as to whether they have
ever complied with clause 7.4 of the AFLs Anti-Doping Code.
Still, if you have to come to Adelaide under the cover of darkness ... well,
what more needs to be said.
Things could be worse. They could get around like Mike Fitzpatrick,
aka, Peter Brady. That said, Id argue the lights were on but no one
was home. Worsfold should not have agreed to the meeting. As
Worsfold told the Crows of the meeting, they were not in the dark. It
just appears the Crows were not bright enough to pick up the phone
and tell Campbell he had broken a promise.

have been waiting for 12 months for a News Limited journalist to
step in the ring. No one has been game since Peter Blunden copped
a hiding in December 2014 when he tried to defend poor Rita
Panahi.
And you may want to consider this thought. When you resort to abuse (such as referring to
people, good people, as "dills") it makes your point in a debate very shallow and less worthy
of reading.
If you were offended, I apologise. However, I should argue that
dill is an affectionate term used when someone has done
something silly. If I had wanted to be offensive I could have drawn
on my psychology background and used idiot, imbecile or moron.
Out of interest, what word would you have used to describe
McDermotts claim that Worsfolds behaviour was outstanding in
warning the Crows? Id have thought outstanding would have
been appropriate if Worsfold had refused to meet with Little.
Furthermore, I thought McDermotts snide comment Surely they
didnt think they wouldnt get caught? Sound familiar was
deserving of him being called an idiot. To my knowledge, the
Essendon players were found not guilty of taking banned
substances as claimed by numerous News Limited writers. I dont
know why McDErmott wants to be a smart-arse and imply they did.
Out of interest, what word would you have used to describe the
Crows silly decision not to ring Campbell or Little to warn them
that they had torches and would spot them in the dark if they tried to
sneak into Adelaide under cover of darkness?
Out of interest, what word would you use to describe the character
of every News Limited journalist who followed head office
instructions not to mention that Jackson Taylor had filed a writ
against the AFL where he, inter alia, alleged the AFL committed
fraud. As you may not have received that head office email, I have
attached my thoughts on the matter. I look forward to reading your
upfront, transparent and admirable apology on behalf of Mr
Murdoch.
