KOR 2
Final Oral Presentation
Lets talk about Korea!
Each student will deliver a presentation about an aspect of Korean culture or society as
your final project. Presentation time is about maximum 5 minutes for an individual student, 10
min. for a pair if you want to cooperate with your classmate. Each student or pair is responsible
for choosing a major theme of the Korean culture. This project is to help you explore the
distinctive nature of Korean society/culture and effectively share the information you researched
with your fellow students and teacher. In the presentation, you should be able to present a brief
summary of the particular topic chosen (along with specific examples and claims). You can
compare and contrast Korean culture versus American or another culture. You are strongly
advised to explore a variety of materials that are related to the topic you will present, such as
encyclopedia, newspaper columns, articles, Korean culture-related websites, etc. The use of
visual aids, at least 5 PowerPoint slides that include images or short video clips (NOT longer
than 1.5mintues for an individual presentation and 3 minutes for a pair presentation) are required
to help others follow and engage more in your talk.
I recommend you to choose a topic of your interest regarding Korean culture or society
first and to write down with at least 2 major points that you would like to highlight in your talk.
You can simply use the format on the following page. The script is due on April 15.
