Canadian Pacific Holiday Train To Stop in Marquette, IA, December 6, 2014

This year the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train has eight scheduled stops in Iowa; Marquette being the next-to-last stop for our beautiful state! The Canadian Pacific train is
adorned with tens of thousands of lights and serves as a stage for live musical performances as well as a transport for Santa. It is an extravagant sight and an event full of
holiday cheer.
The brightly decorated Canadian Pacific train will stop at Marquettes Riverfront Marina
at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 6. This stop will help the community and surrounding
area collect food and money for the Clayton County Food Shelf. All are asked to bring a
donation of non-perishable food items or a monetary donation to the Holiday Train.
Yes, you read it correctly, it will be here on a Saturday. This is great news for the ones
who have been unable to make it because of childrens school schedules, work, etc.! So,
bundle up and cmon down! After all, it is the most wonderful time of the year!! It is an exciting and memorable event for children and adults of all ages, says McGregor~Marquette
Chamber of Commerce Director, Carolyn Gallagher. Stay busy prior to the trains arrival
and after its departure by supporting local businesses and visiting the Festival of Trees at
McGregor Landing (111 First St., McGregor). Grab a bite to eat and check out some great
gift ideas and decorating ideas at the shops and festival, Gallagher says.
Santa Claus will make an appearance as he roams through the crowd visiting with as
