NEWS ITEM
1. The Fifth Convocation of GITAM University shall be held on 13-09-2014 at 4.00 pm.
Candidates who have successfully completed their Programs of study during the
academic year 2013-14 are eligible to apply. Those who have taken degrees InAdvance are not eligible to apply.
2. Candidates who wish to receive their Degrees and Diplomas either In-Person or InAbsentia at the Fifth Convocation should apply in the prescribed Application Form
(to be downloaded from [Link]), paying the required fee.
3. FEE: In- Person: `800/-(Eight hundred only); InAbsentia: `1200/- (Twelve hundred
only).
4. Fee can be remitted through online challan at any Branch of the Union Bank of India
(available at http ://[Link]/doereceipts) or by Demand Draft drawn in favor
of GITAM University, Visakhapatnam on any Nationalized Bank. Name of the
applicant and Regd. No. are to be mentioned on the reverse of the DD/Challan.
5. The filled-in application forms, along with the original DD/ Challan and other
enclosures
should reach the
Controller of Examinations, GITAM University,
Visakhapatnam- 530 045 on or before 16.08.2014 at 5.00 PM.
6. Candidates should write on the envelope (i) Name of the Degree applying for
(ii) In-Person or In-Absentia.
7. Late Applications will be received with additional late fee of `300/-, up to
23-08-2014.
8. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected without any intimation.
9. Candidates eligible for the award of Medals and Ranks at the Convocation shall be
intimated individually.

1. Candidates applying for more than one Degree/Diploma should submit separate
applications along with the prescribed fee.

8. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected without any intimation.
9. Candidates eligible for the award of Medals and Ranks at the Convocation shall be
individually intimated.
10. Candidates have to collect their Degrees/ Diplomas within a maximum period of one
year from the date of eligibility to the Convocation, failing which, holding charges @
Rs.500/- for every belated year shall be collected.
11. Admit Cards to the Convocation can be downloaded from [Link] from 8th
September, 2014 onwards.
