Post-Apocalyptic Survival Script

1) Regan Harold is a 22-year-old survivor living in post-apocalyptic Britain. He is being chased by feral dogs across a field but manages to shoot and kill two of them. 2) Regan follows tracks leading to an abandoned farm, where he hears strange noises coming from the barn. He flees in fear. 3) The tracks lead Regan to a contaminated forest zone. He hears mumbling and spots someone in the distance who turns out to be the infected Jonathan. When Jonathan approaches, Regan shoots and kills him. Regan continues on in search of a cure.

FADE IN:

SCENE 1

Intro

CUT TO:
EXT. FIELD DAY

In a desolate field three feral dogs are hunting REGAN
HAROLD, a 22-year-old survivor living in a post
apocalyptic Britain.

REGAN is sprinting across the field constantly looking
behind him in terror, as the dogs seem to be getting
closer. REGAN pulls out his gun that was hidden in his
backpack, he points the gun behind him and fires blindly
at the dogs.

The bullets hit two of the dogs and the third one flees
in a panic. REGAN finally stops running and pauses for a
while he takes time to catch his breath.


REGAN pulls out map from his backpack and marks a track
with an x. He then looks down and notices a foot print in
the dirt in front of him. Regan packs away his map and
continues walking.

EXT. FARM TRACK DAY

REGAN walks down a beaten path he stops and stands in
front of an old worn-out barnyard.

REGAN looks up at the barn emotionless. He hears
something coming from within. He takes a few steps
towards the barn.

A sound is heard ahead of REGAN. It startles him and he
flees from the old barn.

SCENE 3

EXT. FOREST DAY

The tracks REGAN had been following lead him towards a
forest located on the edge of the map. REGAN notices that
he has reached the decontamination zone due to multiple
warning signs littered around the trees.

REGAN hears mumbling in the foreground. He pulls out his
gun and continues towards the forest. Regan looks left
and right before hesitantly walking into the forest.

Something begins to follow REGAN; it watches him from
behind the trees. REGAN begins to feel uneasy and starts
to look behind him constantly.

Regan finally spots the tracks again. He goes down on one
knee and spots a trail of blood on the floor.

REGAN follows the blood as it begins lead onto the trees
around him.

Rustling can be heard ahead, accompanied with grotesque
moans and groans. REGAN spots someone in the distance. HE
thinks about calling out but it is too dangerous.

The person turns around revealing himself to be an
infected JONATHAN. JONATHAN notices REGAN and the two
stare at each other.

REGAN raises his hand towards JONATHAN pleading with him
to stay where he is. JONATHAN continues to walk towards
REGAN.

REGAN raises his gun.

A gunshot is heard and JONATHANS dead corpse falls to
the floor. REGAN turns around and walks off in the hope
of finding a new source of a cure.

FADE OUT
