Incorporating more African event in

African organization club.



Abstract
This paper entails various
problem and issues of improving
the African club for different
reasons, which will benefit
members and new upcoming
members to the club. An African
organization club is a club in
University of North Carolina at
Charlotte, which is organized
mainly to bring all African
students who attend University
of North Carolina together with
the culture of Africa and its
origin. This project consists of
different suggestion, problems
and proposal in solving a
contributing to this issue. This
paper provides a better
understanding to why more
multicultural events should be
provided in the African
organization.





INCORPORATING MORE AFRICAN EVENT IN

AFRICAN ORGANIZATION

Introduction

Africa organization club was
made for the betterment of
African students to bring
everyone together and enlighten
them with the culture and
knowledge of Africa. I was
reading a book called
Connected Journeys by Joanna
Skelt 2013, which she says Each
year we stop, link hands sweep
the past aside as if I were easy to
rejuvenate, rebuild, reinvent
ourselves as if we were easy to
forgive. Thereby, she was
talking mainly about the
obstacles and realities of the
world today and hoping some
day a help will come down to
Africa and build and make Africa
a better place.
The book recently got
published so every issue in this
book still holds and stand.
Different issue and problem are
still present in todays society in
Africa that everyone else has to
be aware of the issues it
provides in Africa.

Strategic
Due to my research of trying
to improve the events in our
African club organization I used
three process of research to
develop of solving this issue.
Three of them include:

Article: I studied and read
different article such as The sun
shine bright which was
published on December 3
rd
2011
by an Africa writer in Lagos.
This article shined light on Africa
and its beneficial providence.
Africa is a developing country, as
we all know on the edge and for
Africa to reach its highest level
of development we have to work
together including the leaders
which is a major issue the article
talked about.

Interviews: I had to interview
several of my friends in the club
and where from Africa how the
felt they issue I brought up in the
club. I interview my friend John
who is from Nigeria said he had
the same idea with mine and
wished more African activity
such as, African concerts, which
may include African artists,
culture, food etc. I also interview
a girl from Ghana who said that
she had no clue how Africa was
like even she was born there but
grew up. So getting exposed to
the culture can help us unite as
one.

talked about the African culture
and different events in different
African organization. Some

by Chinua Achebe, Our Africa,
Africa Society and Culture.

AFRICAN ORGANIZATION
AND ITS PROBLEM

The proposal problem is needed
mainly to improve our African
club for the purpose of educating
members and future members.
Also, this is issue is so relevant
because if the culture is not
thought to the people who are
not unfortunate to be in Africa,
then how are going to be able to
know exactly what is going on
over there. How do we relate
with one about the issue and
events that are part of our
country. The main problem of
this is issue is the fact the
president of the club does not
want to take the risk and make
the club a bigger and better club.
Playing it safe most times it easy,
but to get the club to the next
level, the president ad each
board member need to do
something. Thereby by not
expanding the culture and idea
of the club, one shall be exposed
to the Africa has a whole.

Do we live inside the breasts of
our mothers? In the mind and
hearts of two women, indeed at
their breasts a nation lives, said
by Philo lkonya. Which is deeply
talking about problems in our
society either Africa or wherever
we seem to find ourselves in the
society.

This problem has arisen a lot
and adequate action needs to be
taken as soon as possible to stop
this problem. I came up with
different solution.


INCOPORATING MORE AFRICAN EVENTS IN THE AFRICAN
ORGANIZATION AND ITS SOLUTION
I have done so many research
and I finally came up with few
solutions to stop and help solve
this issue. If I know a song of
Africa, of the giraffe and the
African new moon lying on her
back, of the plows in the fields
and the sweaty faces of the
coffee pickers, does Africa know
a song of me? said by Karen
Blixen. Her story was saying if
after everything we have been
through in life and there is no
proof of success then what is the
point of everything through the
sweat and tries. There must be a
reason for everything we do in
life and we should stand by it.

So by having good leader will be
a major solution to our problem.
Also, by having active members
who are willing to participate
and move the club to a bigger
and better place. If the president
enforced its power to expand the
club and bring fort extra
activities the members of the
club have to be committed and
dedicated to attend events and
be an active member of the
organization. I also place a table
for the schedule of events

It is always good to plan because
one that does not plan is
planning to fail. So for an
organization like this to succeed
we need to plan and have a
detailed schedule. By having a
detail schedule it will keep the
organization in line at an
adequate focus and plan with no
confusions. Furthermore, I also
made a detailed schedule with
all the cost of some events that
will take place in the club. The
table is drawn below.

Conclusion
Through all this problem and
issues my solution will be the
best thing for this issue. African
Organization will be fun to
attend and meeting will be active
in all aspect.

We as members should be on
time to every meeting and be
ready to contribute to the
welfare and development of the
club. I believe that by expanding
the club such as bringing local
artist to perform, performing a
round trip to Africa, exploring
different cultures in Africa etc.




Also by doing all this I believe
deeply that the Africa
Organization Club will be a
exiting and fun to attend.
