I hope all of you are having a great summer and are able to spend some time with your families. It seems like
the summers go by faster each year! We have a lot of changes to our school and I want to take a minute and
share the new people and the reassignments with you. Here is the listing of teachers for the 2014-2015

When we made the switch the online system (Harmony), we knew that we would eventually
be able to allow parents to fill out all the forms and register from home. We are now ready to
begin this transition! Your childs harmony login information and instructions are included
with this letter. Please know that if you need help or if you do not have internet access at
home, you are more than welcome to come into school and we will help you. We are offering
afternoon/ evening hours on August 5
th
in the hope of meeting the needs of our working
families. There are a few things to make sure you pay attention to when registering online:
Email Addresses = be sure to include all email addresses you want information sent to. You
can list as many as you want, just separate each address with a comma. These addresses are
used for newsletters, important school information, discipline referrals, and by the teachers.
Email has quickly become the communication preference for most people. Alert Numbers =
These numbers are used by School Messenger, our automated phone calling system. Parents
can list up to three numbers for each student. Our system will call all three numbers when
we send notifications out. This is the system that is used for cancellations and important
school functions/ events.

Wednesday, August 6 is the date for the Kids First Festival from 4 7 pm at Heritage Hills
Middle School. There will be free school supplies, haircuts and food given away to anyone
who attends. Games will be set up for kids of all ages. We will also have informational
presentations for parents from 4-5:00. Attending a session provides you with early entry
to the booths, which open at 5:00. Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

Remember, our phone number has changed. Now you can reach any of the North Spencer
Schools by calling (812) 937-2400. Lincoln Trail is option 5.
Other News
Cl ass l ists Class lists will be available during registration and at Open
House. Please know that sometimes changes are made to class lists after
registration to even out class sizes.
Book Rental Amounts The following are the totals for each grade level and
can be paid at registration or during the first two weeks of school:
