Digital Growth Advisor (Ref: DGA3049)

Salary: 30,000 - 40,000 per annum
Business Growth Hub are currently recruiting a Digital Growth Advisor to deliver high-quality specialist digital growth advice and
provide support for the identification, adoption and better use of advanced digital technologies, in particular the adoption of
new services that are available with superfast/ultrafast broadband. Based in Manchester City Centre.
The duties of the job include:
Handling enquiries via phone and email, initially assessing the growth potential and business needs of digital growth
SMEs using appropriate tools, processes and systems where required
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key contacts in assisted SMEs
Ensuring that potential digital growth SMEs comply with the project eligibility criteria by ensuring that initial eligibility
checks, prior to formal assessment are carried out
Ensuring that SMEs that are able to enhance their growth through better use of digital technology are selected for the
support
Confirming the value of de minimis aid to be provided to the assisted SMEs under the programme
Ensuring SMEs have had an in-depth business growth assessment carried out using the Hubs common template and
methods, in order to capture baseline data from the SMEs and identify wider needs, which can be addressed through
developing a growth action plan
Providing specialist digital guidance to companies and ensuring that they have a clear digital growth plan that will lead
to growth opportunities and the greater take-up of digital technologies and faster broadband
Making sure SMEs are personally introduced to those programme and partner services identified as appropriate for
them

An expert understanding of digital technology and the contribution it can make to a companys growth potential sales
and account management skills
An expert understanding of business support and experience in delivering growth programs
A detailed understanding of the high speed broadband market and digital technology providers
Sales and account management skills
Project management skills
Presentation skills - both written and oral
Excellent communication and networking skills
Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills
Well-developed IT skills, including an understanding of computerised management information systems, spreadsheets,
diary management, and e-mail
A team player, but also a self starter
Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
The ability to identify opportunities and to be innovative
