o While indicates an introductory phrase, yet I did not include a comma
after the introductory phrase while wearing this appearance. By adding a
comma after the while introductory phrase, I fixed my comma error.

o This sentence is an if, then sentence, which indicates a separator is

the effect clause. To fix this, I placed a comma after character, which is
before then.

o I did not use a comma after ship which was a mistake because when
to ship is part of a group of words that are not essential to the meaning
of the sentence (the interrupter). I fixed this by placing a comma after
ship.

since they are both independent adjectives without a conjunction. TO fix
my error I placed a comma in between tough and courageous.

o This sentence is composed of two independent clauses with but as the
separator. In this case a comma is needed after the separator but I did not
have one. To fix this error I placed a comma before but after the word
her.

o A comma is needed before and after Shug Avery because her name is an
interrupter since it is not essential to the meaning of the sentence. I did not
have commas before and after her name so to fix my error I added the
necessary commas.

o The phrase such as having to turn away the opportunity of speaking to his
mother in order to learn his fate is a finisher to the sentence since it is an
afterthought of the sentence. Finishers need commas before they begin and
my error as not having a comma before the finisher. I fixed my error by
placing a comma after future.

followed by commas and I did not have one so to fix my mistake I put a
comma after development.
