RULES AND REGULATIONS

A. NAME OF LEAGUE
The name of the league shall be known as the Supreme League

B.

FORMAT OF LEAGUE

The league matches will be played on Friday & Saturday evenings starting from 7pm The league will be split into 2 groups - 1 and 2 (each group will consist of 8 teams) One round league will be played (each team plays 7 league matches) The team finishing top will be declared the winner of that group (1 or 2). If two (2) teams finish on the same points, the goal difference rule will be taken into account to determine the overall winner. The winner of group 1 plays the winner of group 2 for 1st and 2nd prize The teams finishing 2nd in both groups (1 and 2) plays each other for the 3rd place prize Team sheets will be given to all teams on the day of their match. Collect from Tarique Israel A floating trophy will be given to league winners. If a team wins the league 3 (three) times then only do they get to have the trophy A straight knockout tournament will be merged together with the league (registration fee covers both league and tournament) Tournament only takes place when 16 teams are registered

REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS
All players will register with Tarique Israel (office) All players will carry a Supreme League Card during league season All teams must have a manager (responsible for the team) 10 Players must be registered per team (including manager) The manager can participate as a player as well Registration for players ends before the 2nd league match Only Registered players are allowed to play (team will lose points if caught)

REGISTRATION OF TEAM
Full registration fee is R4 500 (four thousand five hundred rand only) A deposit of R2500 must be paid a week before the start of the league After deposit your outstanding balance will be R2 000 (two thousand rand) Outstanding balance of R2 000 must be done paid by the fourth league match A fee of R500 (five hundred rand) must be paid from the first league match until the fourth league match. The R500 must be paid in order to play on the day 6. Teams paying full amount when registering will receive 10% discount

DATE AND VENUES OF MATCHES

The dates and venues of the matches shall be fixed by the Co-ordinator and all managers of each participating team will be notified in advance before their match. Full league season fixture will be given to the teams.

DURATION OF MATCHES

LEAGUE MATCHES
1. The duration of matches shall be two equal halves of 20 minutes each with a half time break of no longer than 5 minutes. 2. The time will be paused if an infield player gets injured

CUP FINAL (extra to league)

Cup matches will be straight 10 minutes 2 leg per fixture - Straight knockout The Cup Final will be two equal halves of 20 minutes each with a 2min break If both teams are level at the end of normal time straight 10 minutes shall be played where the; (a) Golden goal rule will take effect (meaning the team who scores first at any time during the game will be declared the winner), if there is still no score after extra time (b) (Kicks from the penalty mark) sudden death penalty shootout will come into effect.

COLOURS
1. Each team will play in its registered colours/kit (with numbers on the back of the jersey) 2. If there is a clash of colours then the official will toss a coin (winner keeps colours) 3. The Supreme League organisers will be renting out kit to teams

I.

TEAMS ARRIVING AT VENUES

1. Teams shall arrive thirty minutes (30 minutes) prior to the kick off time of their matches 2. It shall be an offence for a team not to be in the changing room, ten minutes (10 minutes) before the scheduled kick off time, for the match officials to check the registration cards. 3. Teams will be fined R100, 00 (one hundred rand) for not presenting themselves on time.

TEAM SHEET
Team sheets must be submitted to the referee prior to the start of the match. Managers will have the privilege to write a comment on the team sheet, based on the performance of the referee or any issues regarding the match. The Supreme League co-ordinator will make sure the team sheet is checked and signed.

K.

SEND OFFS
1. Any player receiving a red card will serve an automatic 2 match suspension. 2. Any player who receives four (4) yellow cards will serve an automatic one (1) match suspension. 3. Any player red carded and it is deemed it is to be of a serious nature, such player will appear before the League Disciplinary Committee. 4. Where a player wishes to dispute his/her send off, he/she may appeal against the same where the DC will sit (in that week)

POSTPONEMENT OF FIXTURES
Requests to postpone a fixture must be done in writing six (6) days prior to the said fixture taking place.

M.

APPOINTMENTS OF MATCH OFFICIALS

The match officials (referees) shall be appointed by the League Management. Referees will be forced to know all the rules.

N.

PROTESTS
Every protest must be done in writing and must reach the League Co-ordinator with 72 (seventy two) hours after the completion of the match. This excludes holidays e.g. Saturdays and Sundays.

PROTEST FEE
Protest fee shall be as per schedule of the Supreme League and must be accompanied together with the protest letter.

P.

APPEAL
Any team wishing to lodge an appeal, such an appeal must reach the League Co-ordinator within seven (7) days after the Disciplinary Committee has ruled on the case.

Q.

APPEAL FEE
The appeal fee shall be R100, 00 (one hundred rand) and such fee must accompany the appeal letter.

R.

LEAGUE WINNERS
1st place - R15 000, 00 (fifteen thousand rand) + Trophy (floating) + Medals 2nd place - R5 000, 00 (five thousand rand) + medals 3rd place - Medals Supreme Cup R5 000, 00 (five thousand rand) + Trophy + Medals (knock out) Coach of the season - Trophy

AIM
Supreme League want to create a competitive environment where all players gain improvement in their performance - Awareness, Skill, Dribbling, Technique, Sharpness, Quick thinking, Team work, Defending, Fitness all of these aspects. We also want to create a friendly soccer environment where people/players meet and start socializing. Supreme League should be like a gym to all soccer players

Any rule not covered in this Rule and Regulation the constitution as well as the FIFA rules will come into effect. All correspondence to be addressed to the League Co-ordinators.
