The group chose to research the Tuskegee Airmen for their MUN project on rights and responsibilities after watching the movie Red Tails. They conducted background research online and through print sources to learn about the Airmen and the viability of segregation. The group searched for newsreels and publications from the time period to understand how the Airmen were viewed. They created a website to present their research as it allowed for multimedia and remote collaboration. The website discussed how the Airmen led to African Americans gaining the right to fight and served as progenitors of the civil rights movement through fighting racism and desegregating the armed forces.
