NSTP: A Life Changing Experience A single dose of experience can change a mans life forever.

Truly the NSTP brought to us different experiences. Experiences that were new and unique, experiences that were fun and exciting and experiences that can change the life of an individual. Planting trees and running for a cause were one of the few things that were unique and new from me. Although mixing the cement and teaching the children were one of the most challenging activities I have ever done during the NSTP activities it was also the most exciting and fulfilling activity that I have done. All of the listed activities have one thing in common; all of these experiences changed me. It changed and molded me into a better person. Planting trees made me aware of the environmental issues present in our community. It allowed me to become once again, closer to our nature. Teaching those children reminded me of the fact that we are humans; called to be humane with each other. It reminded me that all of us our brothers and sisters, that we belong to one family, the Church. Sharing our knowledge and time with those kids was truly fulfilling. It also made me realize how fortunate I am with my education and with that, I am truly grateful. Lastly, the fun run, in which proceeds will help the victims of the typhoon Yolanda. This experience made me realize that I am part of a community. A community that will help one another in times grace and sorrows. It is a community in which love is centered. I realized that even though I am a small part of this community, I can help my fellow brothers and sisters just by doing these simple things. The NSTP brought us a lot of experiences that I could not mention it all. For me the NSTP is not just an ordinary activity but it was a journey in which all of the places and people I met along this journey were very memorable and worth reminiscing. I entered the NSTP with a narrow mind with the world around us, but the NSTP experiences opened my mind into the inevitable realities of life.. Truly the NSTP is a life changer not only for myself alone but more importantly it molded me into a better person of this community.
