Lyndon Green Junior School

Another really super week in school with all the children working hard. Over this last week and next, Mrs. Pitt and I will be visiting each class and spending time with all of the children. This gives us the opportunity to share in the children's learning and to experience everything that they do. We get the opportunity to reect on what we see and make changes where necessary. The children so far have been very eager to show us their attitude towards learning as well as the work that they have completed.

friendly match against The Rosary Catholic School. The result being a 2-1 scoreline in our favour. It will now go down in history that Zeshan Bashir scored the rst ever goal at home. I am however, proud of all those boys that represented us. They played with passion and commitment but in the true spirit of the game.

Governors! The Governing Body of the school met on Monday of this week to share and discuss the progress of the school and the pupils this year. A superb turnout. Thank you to you all for giving up your time to help support school improvement by bringing a different perspective to the running of the school.

Welcome Visitor! We were treated to a really brilliant surprise on Wednesday of this week. Ethan Taylor popped into school, it was a lovely suprisee and one which I think everyone benetted from. It was great to see him and his family. Looking Ahead!! If you have looked at your yearly planner that you received in September, you will see a number of dates looming ever closer. We have our second Parents Evenings on the 11th and 13th February, appointment slips etc. will be sent out soon. Other curriculum dates inviting you into school will be sent out soon. We look forward to seeing you at our Global Gourmets Cafes, Travel Fairs and Gallery exhibitions.. Attendance! This week we have dipped below our target for only the second time this year. Attendance stands at 96.67% 5th place 6S - 97.85% 4th place 3C, 6G and 4B - 98.33% 3rd place 6C - 98.61% 2nd place 5E - 98.89% 1st place 3E - 99.72% Brilliant attendance! The second week in a row! !

Football! On Tuesday of this week, the school held its rst football match at home for as long as anyone can remember. It was the turn of the Year 5s and 4s to represent us in a School Developments! We are well on track within our school priorities. We are looking closely at the progress of all pupils in school, especially in Reading and Numeracy. We have also worked on the development of play in school. We are also very lucky to be able to bring forward other projects that we had planned. !
