BTEC PPM ASSESSMENT

Sub Grade
a • Assessment criteria for assignments are usually met
first time.
• Work rarely needs returning to pupil.
• Pupil requires very little teacher support to complete
assignments
b • Assessment criteria for assignments is almost met
first time
• Work is sometimes returned to pupil to make
amendments
• Pupil requires teacher support but not always to
complete assignments
c • Assessment criteria is never met first time
• Work is regularly returned to pupil to make
amendments
• Pupil requires teacher support on a regular basis to
complete assignments

Homework Grade

5 Always produce work on time to the standards of which you are capable, with
some excellent work

4 Always produce work on time to the standards of which you are capable

3 Generally produce work on time to the standards of which you are capable

2 Frequently fail to produce work on time to the standards of which you are

E5 You always invest in your own learning. You: -
• Always listen carefully to teachers and other pupils
• Always make a good contribution to group work and to whole class discussion
• Are always ready to learn
• Always produce work that is of the best standard you are capable of.
• Always use equipment sensibly and safely.
E4 You almost always invest in your own learning. You: -
• Almost always listen carefully to teachers and other pupils
• Almost always make a good contribution to group work and to whole class discussion
• Are almost always ready to learn
• Almost always produce work that is of the best standard you are capable of.
• Almost always use equipment sensibly and safely.
E3 You are generally positive about learning. You: -
• Sometimes listen carefully to teachers and pupils
• Sometimes volunteer a good contribution to group work and to whole class discussion
• Are ready to learn when prompted
• Produce work that is of the best standard of which you are capable.
• Use equipment sensibly and safely.
E2 You do not sufficiently value your own learning. You: -
• Often need reminders to listen carefully to teachers and other pupils
• Only make a contribution to group work and to whole class discussion when asked directly to.
• Often need constant reminders to get down to work
• Seldom produce work that is of the best standard you are capable of.

• Often do not engage in positive aspects of the lesson
• Often fail to exhibit a high standard of personal behaviour
• Often fail to engage in good behaviour with others in the class
• Often engage in low level forms of disruption
B1 Very Poor Behaviour. You:-
• Do not engage in any positive aspects of the lesson
• Do not exhibit a high standard of personal behaviour
• Encourage poor behaviour in others in the class
• Consistently engage in low level forms of disruption
