Theoretical Framework The influence of internet in education

The influence of internet in education

The Internet is a marvelous invention. Because of its introduction into education and its availability to just about anyone, the world will probably never be the same. People of all ages can log on 24 hours a day, 7 days of the week in search of whatever they need.

Teachers find the Internet to be extremely useful in planning lessons. The web is full of sites created specifically for teachers to share ideas, change information, and share documents. Perhaps young people stand to gain the most from using the Internet. In addition to being able to express themselves and show creativity on sites like Facebook and Twitter, they can also use the net for school projects and homework. In adition, and this is something that is becoming more and more common, many children and teenagers, use this tool in class, not for educational purposes, but to play, chat, or anything else not related to the subject.

SUB TOPICS IN THE RESEARCH Influence of new technologies in education Technology plays a large role in many aspects of day-to-day life, and education is no different. Technology is rapidly changing the way students learn and how instructors teach. Computers have replaced chalkboards as the go-to tool in classrooms today. And its not just happening in higher education; technology is part of education for children of all ages.

Internet as a tool
Teachers and students use this connection to the world in various ways. First, the Internet is an inexhaustible source of information and data firsthand. As originally scientific network, you can find lots of useful information for classes. Internet and Academics Preparation of classes. Knowing methods and teaching resources. Free Internet Browsing. Press reading. Access to virtual libraries. Virtual Classrooms. The key concept is interaction, which rises a new concept: the virtual classroom environment teaching/learning system based on computer-mediated communication, a symbolic space in which interaction occurs between participants.

Advantages and disadvantages of internet in education

Advantages: Students can take a good profit in different ways of learning, where they can facilitate and participate in courses not offered in other circumstances. Internet helps teachers to communicate and obtain information more easily and quickly with other teachers within the institution and communities of other institutions. Disadvantages: In many cases the information collected can be erroneous when teachers do not have that facility of adequate computer skill.

Many teachers especially in rural areas do not have much knowledge or have not been updated on how to use the tools for better learning and students can apply it and also they do not have the necessary access to the navigation.
Advantages and disadvantages of cell phone use by students Interruptions in the middle of the class: Commonly, the cell phone is a distraction to students when teaching a class. This is for the fact that it has become common for students moving to middle class ring, or discovers they are using some of its various functions. Waste of time: Young peoples attachment to the cell phone is such that daily activities often focus on the apparatus, which makes activities previously performed as family conversations are deleted and replaced by games with the mobile text messages, etc.

Cutting edge technology in El Salvador Some advances in technology in El Salvador include:

Internet access to many people: Now it's much easier to perform an investigation task, compared to previous time as they used to go to the library, now people can easily look on internet for information. More and cheaper Internet service: The times have changed a lot and now in El Salvador there several telephone companies that provides internet services at low costs and prices. Broadband Internet: This issue is on the lips of many countries, but in El Salvador companies are providing excellent speed (2 MB or higher) in both, residential and mobile broadband internet.
To end with this research, here is a real example of influence of the Internet in El Salvador: This research group visited and take as a sample for this investigation the "Centro Escolar Catlico Americano", which is a private institution located in Soyapango city. This institution has around 1,000 students, and they offer basic education from kinder to high school, also they teach several basic subjects, such as mathematics, science, social, English, etc. Students interviewed think of Internet as the century's tool, because it helps them to do their homework, research, and also entertainment. They have an innate facility with Internet related devices because they are the internet generation.
