Dear Parents, It has been another busy week at Twickenham and the Christmas holidays are fast approaching. At the moment the school is filled with the sound of singing and the children are all getting very excited about the productions. A letter giving more information is attached so please send back your ticket requests as soon as possible. Reception Can I please remind parents that you will need to apply for your childs Reception place before Monday 2nd December 2013. Applications can be made online at [Link]/schooladmissions, or alternatively we have a small supply of forms in the school office that can be completed. Please be aware that if you do not apply for a reception place by the beginning of December, you may be offered a school out of the area. Year 4 Viking Day (written by Mrs Canning) Year 4 enjoyed a visit from a real Viking on Thursday! Erik Erikson taught us about Viking life. We handled Viking artefacts including jewellery, horns, keys, padlocks, clothes, shoes and animal skins! It was an exciting day and we even had the chance to see coins being made. Twickenham All Stars Twickenham All Stars day will be held on Friday 6th December as an introduction to our Christmas Fayre. We are asking all children to wear something red and either bring a prize for the tombola or contribute 1. All children who take part will be given a raffle ticket and have the chance to win a selection of toys. Money raised will be split between School Fund to pay for the Christmas Parties and Asthma Awareness. Attendance and Punctuality Please can you make sure all your children come to school every day and most importantly arrive on time. Lots of children particularly in KS1 are arriving late each day which means they are missing the start of their first session. Choir Mr Davies is happy to report that this years choir, which is the largest ever , is doing well in rehearsals for its upcoming two gigs which will be held on: 10th December- Birmingham Council House performing for the Lord Mayors Christmas dinner. 17th January- Young Voices at the LG Arena To enable the children to practise for this concert, please look at the website where you will find lyrics and backing tracks [Link].
