I hope youve enjoyed an incredible first half of 2013. I cant help but be optimistic about the next six months. So far weve had the most successful year for our leading competitions. We crowned the Sebastian Whats Next Awards winners, were inspired by the students who won Wellas Student Competition at Americas Beauty Show, and look forward to awarding the Wella North American Trend Vision winners in just a few weeks. The next 6 months will take us to nearly 10 different cities across North America. Our second annual flagship event, Connect, will gather our 500 strong, North American Creative Force for a week of relevant inspiration filled with sharing, learning and networking. This incredible week started with the third annual North American Trend Vision Awards, where we crowned our Gold Award Winners. In addition, this year we launched Hairdressers at Heart, our effort in elevating the profession of hairdressing in North America, with support at every stage of the stylists career. AN ARTISTS JOURNEY TO THE WELLA PROFESSIONALS 2012 INTERNATIONAL TREND VISION AWARDS

Last October, 2,000 salon industry professionals gathered to watch 86 stylists and colorists showcase their passion and talent at the 2012 Wella Professionals International Trend Vision Awards. One of the largest competitions of its kind, Trend Vision celebrates the skills of innovative stylists from around the globe who have an instinctive sense of creativity. In the end, Philip Ferreira representing Canada emerged victorious, taking home the gold in the prestigious Color Category. This was the most incredible experience, said Ferreira of winning. To be in the presence of talent like Eugene Souleiman and Josh Wood. I can only hope to inspire young stylists to compete in this incredible competition as they have for me. What a journey its been; now another is just beginning.

CAROLINE KIM (COLOR CHARM) I love the versatility of the Color Charm demipermanent line. I really like utilizing the W series as a color glaze to add more depth and shine to the hair. The demi is my favorite product to use on my male clients to provide them with grey blending. I comb the color through the hair, making sure to gradually blend the sideburns to create a more natural look.
OLIVER ADAMS (COLOR CHARM) I love Wella Color Charm Powder Lightener, because it gives you a gentle, even lift for all textures of hair. I use it on all different types of clients, because it works very fast and always gives consistent lightening.
PAUL VEGA (COLOR CHARM) So many favorites, but I use Color Charm Powder Lightener and Activating Lotion most often in my everyday schedule. Right now, clients are coming in with dark shades and want to go lighter without damaging their hair. In order to get beautiful results when changing into a new color, you have to remove old color. Use it on levels 6 and under to create beautiful caramel shades, and on levels 6 and up for clients who dont want to go too light.
DANA LYSENG As a colorist, I have always loved deep, rich, saturated colors. If you look at my portfolio you can really see that. I came to Wella for the intensity in their color, especially the blonde and red families. My favorite product right now is ILLUMINA COLOR; I am so inspired by the softness and sheer finish of this color line.
