With a BA degree in Hospitality Management, and several years of hospitality work experience, I am now looking for my first supervisory or assistant management role. I am flexible to travel anywhere internationally, on single status. My key strengths include strong analytical and numerical skills, a keen eye for detail and quality, and positive communication and interpersonal skills. I enjoy working in a team and helping others to progress. At the same time I work well independently.

Employment history:
Apr 11 - Ongoing Reception Shiftleader Marriott Sample, Dubai, UAE [Link]/dubai - 500 room 5* hotel in the Bur Dubai region. I am working within a team of 60 persons, responsible for managing a shift of 12 people at any one time. All of the experience gained from my studies in terms of working with multicultural groups have really helped me to lead a team of many different nationalities, as well as dealing with the local culture and the demands of the international guest mix. Mar 10 - Feb 11 Trainee Food & Beverage Hilton Sample, Paris, France [Link]/paris - 5 star business hotel, part of Leading Hotels of the World 412 guest rooms, large function facilities, 8 food & beverage outlets. I worked for 12 months rotation in all F&B outlets. Was tasked with the responsibility of making new room service menu, with the support of the F&B Director. This was a 6 month project, involving many other hotel departments, which enabled me to improve my communication and influencing skills. I received a commendation letter from the hotel General Manager at the end of this placement. Jan 09 - Jan 10 Trainee Rooms Division Hyatt Sample, Beijing, China [Link]/beijing - 5 star business hotel 404 guest rooms, 4 food & beverage outlets. Traineeship covering all rooms division departments on operational level. 2 months were spent in telephone operator department, 1 month as a porter, 1 month as concierge, 2 months in reservations and 6 months on the front desk.
