hand comes down to tap the lid of one of the barrels. "We didn't catch anything, no. We found many of these barrels though. Well it was nice using it for one night. He throws the fruits that Logan collected eariler into it, peering around a bit for the human. If he was going to show up, he had better stay silent. He grabs the two plates he had scored from the feast and heads back to the beach. Here, he puts the fruits on the smaller leaves he stripped off and laid the tarp out on the sand, putting the plates on it. The bonfire roared in the center of the pit, its flames reaching up several feet into the sky. Everything was setcrude piles of roasted meats, fish, and mollusks accompanied by whatever fruits and roots they had been able to find and save from their own supplies. Plus the magic moonshine. Flowers had been strewn among the food in an attempt at decoration, and large branches had been staked in the ground to serve as torches. A ring about the fire had been cleared, and invisible circle ringing the flames. Everybody was slowly settling themselves down outside this ring, their chatter and the crackling of the fire carrying on the light sea breeze. She lifted two fingers to her lips, letting loose a whistle that resounded across the beach. There was one last preparation to be made, if she remembered the ceremonies of her islanders correctly. Inspecting the nail on her index finger and satisfied with its point, Nehnna nicked a vein in her wrist and pressed down on it, watching as the blood carefully welled up. Holding her arm out over a small, roughly hewn stone bowl she had asked Calx to make for the occasion, she let the blood drip in. It mixed with the blood already in there, drained from the carcasses before they were cooked. She pressed her mouth to the cut and looked around for Adele, since the lioness had agreed to stand by her through this. ** wrath-kakerouhas joined <Bell-Cat>Anelace: She finds a bowl shaped rock and dips it into the barrel and stands there drinking some before the party to keep calm. She waited until the talking died down. Staring straight at him, she lifted the bowl in a mock salute to Zee before tipping her head back and taking a swallow of the blood. Taking a step towards the fire, she spilled the remainder of the blood into the flames and tossed the bowl away. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, she snapped her fingers once, which set off a series of slow, rumbling beats in the air. Nehnna flicked a quick glance at Adele, checking to make sure the other was ready before stepping into the invisible circle and raising her arms, beginning steps that she remembered from a past long-gone as her heart drummed in her ears. <Blood-and-Spice>Eztli: *moves away from Zee, stepping closer to the barrels and eyeing that 'tarp' on the ground as well. * <wrath-kakerou>remixedmagic,Toastbusters Kai: Oh, so she pissed him of? ...So now everyone has to buy his good graces? *raises an eyebrow* So what, everyone has to cook him something an fan him with giant leaves or what. <cocowoushi>Blood-and-Spice: Locke: *He watched Nehnna do her ritual, glad that at least she had SOME sort of plan. He tries not to get distracted by the display.* It's a humble display but the best we could manage in the time. The sounds intermingled, and as the cries died down, so did the beat. Slowing her steps, she sank to her knees, panting heavily.
