Feedback Questionnaire Whilst the target audience were filling out the questionnaires I was there with them just in case they needed any help in understanding the question and also to query some of their answers to get an further insight on their view which gave me clarity in what I needed to improve. Hi, I am an A-Level student studying Media. I have created a Hip-Hop music magazine including a front cover, contents page and a double page spread. I have created the questionnaire to inquire about my magazine and gain your feedback. Please may you take some time to fill out this questionnaire carefully? 1. How old are you? 14-15 16-18

The majority of the target audience asked was between the ages of 16 and 25. 2. What gender are you? (Circle) Male Female There was an equal amount of male and females who were asked to participate in the questionnaire. 3. Would you consider buying this magazine? (Circle) Yes No 80% of the people asked said they would my magazine. Because I was there when they were filling it out I was able to ask why they wouldnt This was due to the simple fact they didnt usually buy music magazines but even so, they said it looked good. 4. Do you like the colour scheme? Why? (circle) Yes No 100% of the people asked liked the colour scheme. When I asked why, the main reason being was because the red was considered to be a unisex colour whereby either gender would not stereotypically be associated with it and both of which liked it as it was a strong colour so its dominance worked well throughout the magazine. Front Cover 5. What do you find most appealing upon the front cover? They found appealing the title FreshMix, the bottom of the page where the artists name stood out well and also the featured top 100 greatest hip hop breakthroughs as they like the idea. when asked why, they said it worked well despite they had never seen that kind of pose on a magazine cover before additionally they said the smile is key.

What dont you like about the front cover? 10% said they would have like more of the space to be filled up despite what I was trying to base it on. 40% said the background was too plain as it was too similar to the hoody. Contents Page 7. What do you like about the contents page? 40% liked how each different column of text was defined. 30% liked the overall layout of the page. 20% liked how the colour scheme worked with it and 10% liked how the masthead was the same font as the front cover because it made it consistent. 8. What are your opinions regarding the layout? Any improvements? 90% liked the layout saying it was neat, professional-looking, nice and clear and mature. 10% would have liked at least one image upon the page to spice things up. Double Page Spread 9. What did you find the most eye-catching about the double page spread? They found the pull out quote the most eye-catching as when they first looked at it; they were almost instantly drawn to that because it was so big. They also found the little photographs eye catching because the photographic frame put around them made them appealing and interesting. They also found the background intriguing as it was something they had never come across before in a conventional magazine. 10. How professional do you think the magazine is? Thank You for taking the time out to fill in this questionnaire Overall the feedback I got was generally positive and proved that despite challenging convention the magazine seemed to have appealed the target audience as they showed a great deal of interest.
