INTRODUCTION OF SAG/OPENING SEQUENCE FADE IN FROM BLACK FRAME: INT. SAGARS BEDROOM MIDNIGHT On a messy study table, some cartoon comic books are left scattered on the table, where a comic book is open on top of other comic books. On the left hand side of these comic books, there is a laptop and the wallpaper is of The Avengers superheros cartoon characters, with all the other stationary is discarded on the table. A pair of hands comes into frame and clears the center of the table and puts a textbook and a notebook in the cleared area and a glass of coffee. Sag holds the table and pulls himself with chair towards the table. He opens the book and starts reading it. SAG (SAGAR) (V.O.) Come on Mr. Sag revise for the final exam otherwise, you will fail this exam as well. SAG starts revising. He starts annotating in his book with a pencil and after a minute he scratches his back with the pencil. He writes down some notes in the book. Whilst revising, he draws a cartoon character in his book underneath the notes and writes A* next to it. Suddenly he leaves everything and leans back on the chair and starts thinking about something. An alarm of 12:00AM rings from his phone. He turns of the alarm and starts concentrating on his revision. But then he loses his concentration once again and becomes distracted. Suddenly he leaves his desk and jumps on his bed and starts reading some comic books and magazines. After every five seconds he changes his position on the bed while he is reading. Then he takes his camera, takes a picture of his feet. After he takes the picture, he starts playing with his Football. He is sitting near the window in his room, whilst on his laptop, he starts browsing through some images of cars over the internet. (Int. Kitchen.)He opens the fridge and he eats a chocolate bar and throws the wrapper back into the fridge. He eats something else as well.
(Int. Sagars Bedroom)He is sitting in front of the TV (Cartoon series is coming on TV.) He bites into the sandwich, whilst watching the cartoon. Suddenly, an alarm of 3:00AM rings from his laptop. As soon as the alarm rings he starts feeling lazy. He turns off the alarm and the TV and he goes back to his study table. He starts reading the same line which he was reading before, but within a minute he falls assleep. Title: Get Up Sag will appear on the screen. FADE OUT: 2. SAG WAKING UP IN THE MORNING FADE IN INT. SAGARS BEDROOM DAY Sid is sleeping on his study table. There is an innocent and subtle smile on his face. Suddenly he realises that his mom (or his servant) is nocking the door and he can hear a voice in the background. SAGARS MOTHER (OR HIS SERVENT) Sag...Sag! -Sag! Open the door. Sag! What are you doing there, Sag? Open the door. Sag slowly wakes up like a child. He rubs his eyes. He looks at his watch and suddenly he realises that he is late for his final exam. Quickly he opens the door. SAG Chhotu! Why didnt you wake me up sooner? SAGARS MOTHER (OR HIS SERVENT) But Sag, you said you were going to study all night so, I thought youd be up by now. Did you fall asleep? While talking to his servant he is putting on his trousers in a rush. He quickly takes his bag runs out of his bedroom.
SAGARS MOTHER (OR HIS SERVENT) You fell asleep! You had 4 cups of coffee and you still fell asleep! What will you do now? How will you give your exam now?! Just try not to fail this time SAG Shut up! Please, this is all your fault! Move SAGARS MOTHER (OR HIS SERVENT) -Best of luck! Sag. Cut to examination hall. Sag is keep moving his pen nervously and talking to himself. SAG The same bloody Situation again, Sag you should have at least studied this one last exam (Picks up his question paper) Ten questions out of thirty? Thats not so bed you will probably pass Or, maybe you wont What are you going to do? Sag. A girl from a front row turns back in the middle of the exam but it is a dream sequence of Sag during the exam. DEBBI You are never going to do anything Sagar Desai. You will definitely fail in this exam. Because, thats what happens when you dont attend a single lesson throughout the year. This is just what you deserve! SOME GUY FROM THE OTHER ROW But what do you have to worry about, Sag? Who cares if you fail? Your father will still be rich and you will still have the 4
best car in this college! Right! A Girl sitting before this guy turns back LAXMI Hey shut up! Dont listen to these losers Sag dont worry. I am your friend and I know that you are going to pass this exam. By the way, where were you last night? I kept calling why didnt you answer? And did you read those notes I gave you? RISHI (SAGS BEST FRIEND) Oh Shut up Laxmi Cant you at least let him dream in peace? Sag! Im in the same situation as you. I couldnt study last night either. (He points towards his girlfriend who is siting next to him) I was with Neha, dude. She was studying economics and I was studying her. All night long! Anyway dont worry brother if we fail, we will fail together. We have been together since kindergarten. After second Sag realize that it was his dream. Everyone is busy writing their answer even Rishi. And bell goes up. EXAMINATION OFFICER Everyone pens down! Stop writing FADE OUT:
