Entire Role of Iraqis Engineering Union (IEU)


Today our union is working as Documents Controller Department, while it can be a great beneficiary establishment as their sisters in Jordan, U.A.E. and other Middle East countries by doing the following: A. Training: 1. Develop Engineers skills by launching training courses of latest software programs such as but not limited to; Auto-CAD, Microsoft Management Projects, Primavera 3 and 6, Procore, Aconex, Steel structure design software, concrete structure design software, quantity surveying software and many others relevant to Architectural, Electrical and Mechanical Sciences and also, Preliminary training courses of using normal Microsoft office is a mandatory; accordingly, approved certificates shall be granted to each trainee by IEU. 2. Launching Site Construction Supervision training courses for all disciplines in to the existing new investments projects as a result of cooperation between new investors companies and the IEU; accordingly, approved certificates shall be granted to each trainee by IEU. 3. Special programs shall be implemented also for supervisors, middle staff but not only for engineers. 4. Health, Safety and quality assurance training courses shall be a plus. 5. Training courses for industrial and manufacture engineers and technicians. B. Drawings & Building Permits Approvals: 1. IEU can impose such services in cooperation with local government to approve any project drawings prior executing in order to assure appropriate design quality in accordance to building standards and regulations. 2. Impose site inspection procedure especially for awaiting towers projects since the concrete bearing elements and slabs need incentive review and care prior concrete casting to assure work quality matching design parameters.

C. General Approvals & Permits: 1. Establishing license fro-new design consultancy offices and companies. 2. Establishing license for new contracting companies. 3. Establishing license for new construction materials laboratories. 4. Establishing new branches for IEU in other Iraqi cities (we can imagine the fees volume could be collected since IEU are selling knowhow to all of them) 5. Establishing Approved permits process for employment in Foreign Companies working inside Iraq. D- Retiring & Humanitarian: 1. Issue monthly fees for basic retiring purposes to create Capital Investment Fund for future profitable projects to entire society members such as lands and properties investments. 2. Issue different category fees for luxuriant retiring sums to support above mention capital funds. 3. Establish Society Collaboration Funds to grant financial loans for engineers to buy cars, homes, lands and properties. E- Establishing Jobs Providing Site: After implementing the above services; automatically, all companies will ask IEU to provide them with trained local resources instead of employed abroad experts which they are extremely expensive. F- Social Entertainment Programs: 1. Tourist visits for engineers families to local destination and abroad. 2. Hajj and Omra. 3. Operation of swimming pools and sport halls. Our society role in above steps is mainly to provide Iraqi experts working abroad to be engaged as Trainers in cooperation with IEU. Finally, IEU shall become a profitable establishment and also, shall support the government positively by all means.
